Right now, it's Daniel in NYC. French cuisine by world-renowned chef, Daniel Boulud. Very pricey, but the food is to die for. The wine pairing was spot on as well.

All time favorite is The Red Square in the Tropicana, Atlantic City. Frosted ice walls, a vodka vault, leather couches, caviar and blinis...need I say more?

Out of all the restaurants I love, Pappadeaux is my favorite!

The Blackened Oyster & Shrimp Fondeaux w/Crawfish is to die for, and the Fried Alligator is a very close 2nd in that race.

Additionally, the drinks are FANTASTIC!!! The Swamp Thing is awesome.

p.s. portions are very generous here!

Oh boy, this is a rough one, the first thing that comes to mind is the Columbian in St. Pete, the food there is fantastic. However when it comes to a mix of just plain "FUN" restaurants to go to and enjoy, There's a Hard Rock in Nashville that I just got a huge kick out of. I ate there for appetizers but the environ was really really cool.

Man I need to start remembering names, but my most memorable dining experience, all around was the Louie Louie Bistro on Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale.

And I'll always have a special place in my heart for Cheers in Boston and the ravishing debutant that enjoyed it and antics involving the patrons next us with me. But how can you forget Cheers AND Ice Skating?

My favorite has to be Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY. Nothing like a German Beer hall to stimulate the ancestry and have a damn good time.

*Real Food Daily in LA for amazing vegan, organic food.

*El Charro in Tucson AZ for my favorite authentic Mexican.

*Ginza in CT for the best sushi I've ever had anywhere.

*Todd English's Olive's at Union Square in NYC. The fabulous sommelier, Joe, was what put it over the top in decadent joy.

. . .That's the top of my head. I'm sure I'll think of more.

Looking forward to Michael Symon's Lola in Cleveland soon. One day, SOMEDAY, I hope to eat at one of Thomas Keller's restaurants. Per Se, French Laundry or Bouchon. I sure wouldn't turn Nobu down either.

I've been wanting to eat there too! Glad to hear a good review from a trusted source!

El Poca Cosa for their unique food.

Chuy's for their great chips and salsa and food, and I love the atmosphere.

    Both in Tucson, AZ.

^^ I'll remember El Poca Cosa next time I'm in Tucson, BG! I did like Chuy's a lot too.

(I was born in Tucson & go back every so often.)

Yeah, Poca Cosa is downtown. As a tip, go during lunch time instead of dinner. Dinner has the same menu as lunch, but they charge more for it!

Kind of hard to answer since different restaurants offer different types of foods, however today my mind has been on the Japanese restaurant Nobu.

    Hmm... I can't pick one!

The Lion - best steaks in the city. They do a scotch fillet steak on the rotisserie and my god, it's amazing.

House of Chow - high class Chinese restaurant that also does take-away, best Chinese food in town.

The Pullman - expensive, but they're a top quality buffet 'all you can eat' restaurant at the casino that do everything from steak to salad to lobster to stir fry and it's all so yummy. And the dessert bar is to die for!

Artisinal in Manhattan. Every course was incredible, start to finish, and the service was amazing. That's probably the "best" restaurant I've ever been to.

But for an all-time favorite restaurant, I like Brooklyn Bridge in Memphis. It's owned and operated by this huge family of Brooklyn Italians, and walking into the kitchen is like walking into Goodfellas. The food is incredible, especially the rigatoni in a spicy vodka-tomato-cream sauce, and the salad with bleu cheese vinaigrette (a delicious balsamic vinaigrette with whole crumbled bleu cheese in it). The decor is classic New York Italian, the service is great, the wine list is excellent, and the owner (an enormous guy named Vinnie in a sauce-stained apron) always comes out periodically to personally make sure everyone's happy. They also have legendary lasagna (which has pork in it so I haven't had it, but it's supposed to be incredible), and for dessert you've got to try the chocolate cannolis. They dip the cannoli shell in chocolate and fill it with a mixture of sweetened mascarpone cheese, cocoa, and chocolate chips. To die for.

In L.A., I like Cha Cha Cha. It's Caribbean tapas. Every dish is terrific, the sangria is great, and you can sit there all night nibbling and chatting among the pepper lights. Took my grandparents there for my birthday back in July and they're still going on about it.

The best steak I've ever had was at Ruth's Chris in Palm Desert CA but they are located all over the country if not the world. I still remember it 15 years later.

Another one for Poca Cosa! They don't have a menu. Their entrees change for lunch and dinner everyday. Six choices, they always have fish and a veggie. Call a few hours ahead for vegan- they will put it on the list of the day.

I love the food at Barrio, too. North, la encantada, yum!

Now I wanna go out to eat!

Stella in Vancouver (Commercial Ave. area). I love the ahi and the people watching.
Wazubee also on Commercial for the yummy food good prices an terrific coffee!!!! (Vancouver)

that place was spectacularly decorated. I loved it. I had a raspberry bellini, 12 bucks, but it was worth it. good.

My favorite resteraunt of all time is probably Mixto on 12th and pine in cc, philadelphia. I used to live 3 blocks away and it was my "spot." Great empanadas. Sure it's in the gayberhood but it keeps all the annoying guys hitting on you from ruining your meal. And for the best Italian, I'd say La vernanda (sp?) on front st. by delilahs.

    R&G Lounge (San Francisco):

By far, THE most BALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIN' Chinese restaurant I've ever been to!

If you ever go, I highly recommend the Sweet Rice Stuffed Chicken (which you have to order 24 houes in advance) -- essentially, they brine a whole chicken overnight, then it's stuffed with sweet, sticky rice.... then it's covered in a batter and deep-fried. Oddly, it's damn near greaseless and OH SO GOOD!

Salt & pepper fried crab is awesome, as well.

Definitely, unlike any Chinese restaurant that I've ever been to.

Olive Garden (closest one is in westwood tho
Toi on Sunset for awesome Thai food, and cool atmoshpe
The Rainbow for Italian food. It may be known as a rock bar, but the food is amazing.
Truly Vegan when I want to be semi healthy.
Saddle Ranch is good too, just gotta go on a slow night.

^^^ Toi is fun but the food isn't that good. Go to Thai Town, not far away, and try Kruang Tedd (in the same shopping center as Jumbo's Clown Room) or the Palms (Hollywood and Bronson). I've been wanting to try Truly Vegan for a long time, but it's got the disadvantage of being right across the street from Palms Thai, which has the best lunch special in Hollywood.

Hugos Cellar at the Four Queens in downtown Las Vegas.
The place has that old school feel, great food, service is fantastic!
Every dinner comes with a salad, prepared tableside, with great ingredients to add to your taste. And to finish, they bring you a beautiful tray of chocolate covered fruit with whipped cream. YUM.
