I have mine done and I love them, the pain wasn't that bad at all, not for me but I also have a high tolerance for pain. I loved the adrenaline rush afterwards too. It also depends on the size of your nipples, I have big nipples so the pin is less with the bigger your nipples are. It just felt like a big hard pinch to me. My boyfriend got his done and he had tiny nipples, he said when he got his done they had to go behind the skin of the nipple to pierce his and the pain for him was horrible.

There's also a few posts on nipple piercings on here too if you do a search if you want more info. It isn't that bad, if you really want them done then go for it, don't be afraid, the piercing only lasts a couple of seconds anyways, but the aftercare is actually the hardest part, having to clean them everyday. I recommend getting this stuff called H2Ocean, it's great and cuts the healing process in half. I also recommend starting out with rings and not barbells because rings are easier to clean and then if you like barbells better then after they heal then switch over.

Hope I was of some help t you and good luck.

love mine, just had them done two weeks ago. Was mildly hungover when I had them done so the pain wasn't bad at all. You will learn which is more sensitive than the other. The first week they hurt when aything bumped them, but they don't know.
Plus, I couldn't sleep on my tummy for a few days and if I rolled over in my sleep the pain would wake me up. Now they are AWESOME and look great. They need some attention but it's not too bad, I use shot glasses with warm salt water.
I say go online and check out info on them, there are a ton of sites that can give you info.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I had mine done, hurt pretty bad but I don't think mine were done properly either though =/ too deep or something, I ended up taking them out about 3 months later.

Couldn't wear a bra for a few days, and I went light-headed a few times the day after.

i'm thinking i'll do the horizontal barbells. i have a friend who is a piercer and he's gonna do them for free. i have larger nipples, so hopefully there won't be a lot of pain. but even if there is, it's only temporary. thanks for the advice.

I want to get mine done vertically and have 2 piercings in each nipple, I think that's awesome.

Mine hurt like a BITCH. I wore a bra 24 hours a day for a week, and it's almost two years later. I love them. They're my favorite piercing.

Here's more advice, I just switched over from rings to barbells here recently, the barbells are cute and all but I have already lost 3 balls, so make sure you keep them screwed on tight. I have had these for like a month and a half and I had rings for over a year, never had a problem with the balls from the rings popping out. Especially if you get colored plastic balls and not the stainless steel balls, they fall off easier so just be sure to check them and keep them on tight. I now have a clear plastic ball and a stainless steel ball in each barbell cause I lost my 2 clear ones and luckily one of my stainless steel ones fell off and I knew when it fell off and found it ( actually I was on stage and hit my nipple on the pole hard, ow, and it caused it to fall off but I didn't have it screwed on good either, haha). The piercer also gave me the 4 extra stainless steel balls free because of them getting lost from falling off, so I would get extra if you choose to go with the barbells.

Also, yes for like the first week your nipples are going to be sore, especially when you touch them, I yelled at my boyfriend if he even came near my nipples, lol.

For me, it really didn't hurt that bad. I found that meditating a little bit before-hand really helped me. I just thought about how "brave" and strong I was and pictured it not being so bad. I think it put me in the right frame of mind. Having them done was actually a pretty spiritual experience for me. I felt like a warrior woman afterwards. Maybe that was all the endorphins though (-:

Oh yeah, be sure to take really good care of them. Nipples are def not a part of your body you want to mess up on accident.

You might know this already, but if you use rubber gloves when you put the balls on you can do them up a bit tighter.

Something snug fitting to sleep in is a good idea for the first week or so after getting your nipples pierced too as the bruising can be quite painful.
