I cannot believe that they are actually sending the oversalted meat to the crime lab. Are you serious? We have to waste our tax dollars for this? The girl already admitted she accidentally dropped salt on it. Why does it have to go to criminalistics?

How lovely. A poor girl just trying to make a living in an already crappy job will have a misdemeanor on her record for an accidentally oversalted burger. Yeah, I TOTALLY believe she did it on purpose... I mean especially since she had a burger from the same batch.

I'm with her..why the hell didnt he stop after the first bite? Idiot cop. I wasnt aware salt was a lethal weapon. If it was healthy food that doesnt make you sick he was looking for..McDonalds prob. wasnt the smartest choice.

Oh, it made him sick, did it? I've had some pretty salty foods before without getting sick. He'll have a hard time proving that one... overreact much?

Salt can make you sick if you had high blood pressure. I do not like the effects. However one who has high blood pressure should be avoiding McDonald's like the plague. The mg of salt in a normal burger is close to the recommended daily intake if that is part of a hypertension issue.

I honestly think the cop is just being a prick, and playing a game of kick the cat.

With a place catering to health, he might have a case. I hope he at least gets reprimanded for wasting everyone's time.

What a fucking scumbag. The poor girl is 20 years old and slaving for McDonald's, and now she's got a night in jail and all this shit to deal with. I hope the next time someone jerks off on his burger and gives him syphilis.

As my great-grandmother often said of guys like this, "He just needs to be in hell with his back broke."

After thinking about it... I used to work at Burger King. I'm willing to bet that the procedure for cooking burgers is the same... The patties are pre-made and frozen, stuck on a belt that runs them through the oven, and then made with the onions, mayo, ketchup, whatever. There is no salt involved. It would be VERY hard to spill salt on a burger while making it. Honestly, she may have done it on purpose because he was a cop... and the cop just completely overreacted.

^^^McDonald's does not make their burgers on a conveyor belt. The put them on a flat top grill. Then a lid comes over and rests over the top of them and they cook for a set number of minutes. Afterwards, a shaker with seasoned salt is sprinkled over the cooked patties, and then the patties are removed from the grill.

So, had the shaker lid been loose while she seasoned the burgers, it's very possible it was an accident.

"...Kendra Bull was arrested Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail..."

What a cock and Bull story!

Officer Adams should be held accountable for his public relations blunder, which certainly didn't enhance the image of Union City's law enforcement. In fact, I think that the 1/3 lb Angus Burger should be renamed in honor of Officer Adams. All McDonald's needs to do is drop the "g" from "Angus"...

LOL! I remember thinking that when I saw the machine. I was like, "Well, I guess TECHNICALLY they're over a fire..."

I didn't know that McDonalds actually has a person season their patties! Either way, the guy's missing a few marbles.

^^ Ya, in busy periods there's people that the only thing they do is make and season patties.

How stupid. Instead of arresting that poor girl, he should have just asked for a different meal. Problem solved. She already admitted to spilling the salt, accidents happen.
