Default Start out working in a hole?

So, I went to see my first stripper show last Saturday. It was cool but here in Europe things are done a bit different. For the most part, girls don't get tipped on stage and you only make comission off the drinks that you sell to the customers you're with. Also, they have these things called private sessions where you go to get drinks with the customers and it seems like most of the girls give guys hand jobs. I wouldn't mind doing a private strip tease but I don't want to be touched, so am I looking into the right environment or should I steer clear of a place like this? I would like to see how things are in the States but for now, I'm going to try it out here. The bar I went to though was kind of a dive. And it's in my city and I don't want anyone to know what I'm doing. Should I just go there to strip this week and in the meantime look for classier clubs. I guess I was imagining my debut as a stripper to be Dita Von Teese-ish lol!

If it's your city, you might not want to start in a place that has a bad rep.

OR you can use it as a stomping ground and wear a wig or something.

The problem with clubs like these is that they can be very hard on the dancers, newbies especially. My last club in Daytona was a dive. Some women did very well there, while preserving their integrity and inner peace, but it was very much an uphill battle.

Be tough, be proud, be strong, and you can do it--but if you feel yourself getting worn down, depressed about working there, or it really starts getting to you that you are being pressured to go beyond your boundaries, get out of there, ASAP! I mean even after only one night, or whatever.

Keep looking for clubs you are more comfortable about working in, too. Never let yourself be limited or trapped in any one club.

Four basic sorts of shows in and around London in the UK.

Strip pub and strip clubs, the dancers basically rely on tip and income from private dances. Generally low contact.

Then there's private parties - higher contact, and very dependent on developing your own bunch of regular's who'll turn up and spend money on you.

Finally, there's stag shows - which are high contact and toys. Generally a good earner if you're comfortable doing them.

The last two don't sound as if they're for you.

In the UK at least the income from stripping has been falling steadily over the last few years - nudity is no longer as unusual as it was, and the money's been drifting elsewhere.
