Red color molecules are larger than the others, thus they slip out of hair easier. I would suggest more demi-permanent dyes. They're not going to damage you, and they'll last better.
Question though....are you using one of those colors that's like crayola-red? Like a manic panic or whatever the Sally-brand of crayola colors are? Because those are made with food dyes; and are much more likely to slip out than other demi-permanents. They can look vibrant and amazing, but hair has to be porous to accept it (that's why they tell ya to bleach it first). So if that's what you're using, that would probably be the problem. My hair has gone pink this way before...
Otherwise, I'm at a loss......at Sally's, I'd suggest the Wella demi-permanent....(color charm maybe?), it's nice and conditioning, and it's always had decent staying power in my hair. I think there's a clairol one as well, with red-boosters available. Good luck!
