I slept funny last night and now I cant look over my right shoulder.
Anyone had this before and what did you do? Im trying to stretch it out but I really cant move it that much at all.
Im moving about like I got a neck brace on and feel silly.

Once I knocked a vertebra out of place in my neck, and I couldn't turn my head to the left at all. There were sharp, shooting pains whenever I tried. A chiropractor put it back in, like, thirty seconds.

I hope its not that. I get more like a jamming pain, rather than sharp shooting pains.
I dont have to time to see a Chiro before pole class tonight, LOL
Im also a bit scared of having adjustments anyway.

Put something such as deep heat or tiger balm on your hand and massage it in.
I would do some stretches too.
Let's see if I can describe this one accurately:
Using your right hand, place hand over your head to the left side and gently pull your head to your right shoulder. While you are doing this your left arm should be held slightly out and hold the left hand pointing downwards. Alternatively you can place the left arm behind your back.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

^^

Im not sure of the medical explanation but I know people get it from wearing seatbelts when they have to break really hard and their neck jolts forward.

It does feel good. Im just curious about the whiplash as I did a few corkscrew spins last night and wondering if those could be it. But I assumed whiplash kicked in right away rather than the next day?

I dont think it would be whiplash. It's more likely just muscle strain.
Do you always do a proper warm up and cool down?
If I do a strenuous class I also have a bath with epson salts in it to relieve my muscles.

Yeah its most likely muscle strain come to think of it. Im pretty sure my warm ups are ok, maybe I should add to them....Hmmmm
Do you notice the students at your class, after a warm up of say 10 minutes or so they start biting at the bit to get on the poles? LOL
