So, I have officially lost my damn mind.
Mistake #1: I wanted to color my hair myself. I have a friend who has done mine a few times in her kitchen with the stuff from Sally's, so I figured I'm intelligent, I can do it too.
Mistake #2: I chose a drastic change. I wanted to keep the coffee brown I have now for the top half of my hair, and go bright, bright red for the under half. (I've had bright red tips before and I wanted to try it this way instead.)
Mistake #3: Instead of buying separate bleach and red coloring, I bought a creme and developer set that would lift and deposit in one step.
Now, the top half looks good, but the under half is this crazy blond, orange, red, pink concoction that looks terrible! Luckily, I didn't do enough of the bottom, so when my hair is down you can't even see it. But, I do wear my hair up at school, and what about when I'm upside down at work?
I really don't want to have to admit to my stylist what I've done, so I was wondering if I just redo the coffee brown, and apply it all over, will the bleached section even take it? And how bad is this going to hurt my hair? Also, when the color starts fading and it's time for a touch up, is some of the blond stuff going to start peeking out again?
Wow, never will I touch my own hair, ever again. :-)
