Lightbulb Milk Makes my Tummy Hurt...

I don't normally drink regular cow's milk, I always drink soy milk or rice milk, but this morning after work I was craving some chocolate milk...YUMMY! I drank it, and about a half hour later, when I got home, I was running to the toilet like every 5 minutes! There were times when nothing was even coming out...just gas...and I was in intense pain most of the day...really horrible stomach aches!!! It was hard for me to even fall asleep.

Like I said, I don't normally drink regular cow's milk...and now that I remember...drinking it always made me feel like this. Am I lactose intolerant or something? I eat cheese, yogurt, and icecream, etc....it's only the milk that makes me sick? The milk wasn't spoiled, either. What could be the problem? No more drinking regular milk for me...

Yeah, you're lactose intolerant. Cheese has no lactose in it so it won't make you sick.

And if it's chocolate milk you crave... here you go, delicious and lactose-free!

Hope you feel better, dear. Slippery Elm herbal capsules are great for upset tums. I have been drinking soy & rice milk for years now

It's also possible that full cream milk is the problem.
I am not lactose intolerant but full cream milk makes me vomit. So I only drink skinny milk.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some lactose intolerant peeps can drink goat's milk (unpasteurized if you can get at it for the ezymes) without a problem. But goat's milk def has it's own flavor. It's not like cow's.

I don't really know the difference between all the cow milks (percentages, skim, etc.), but I remember one time I bought 2% milk hoping that the stomach aches wouldn't be as severe... and it didn't work. I was still sick and suffering from the pains just like yesterday.

haha yea I guess. If I had to pick b/w goat and cow, I'd take goat any day. It doesn't make me ill or ball over in misery.
