    Default Pubes Confusion

I have never been waxed before, and when I started dancing I started immediately and constantly and didn't have time to even think about scheduling an appointment for anything so I kept shaving. My questions are this: #1; I have found that the only way to not get left with stubble and razor bumps is to shave myself completely dry, dry skin, dry razor, no shaving cream, no water, nothing. Just the razor and me. Shaving dry is the only thing that makes me perfectly smooth, but is it bad for me? Like, will I start to see bad effects from doing this days or weeks down the road? And #2; do you have to have significant growth before waxing? If so, how would I deal with working during the growing-out phase if I should choose waxing? At my club, we get totally nekked.

Go with what GCG has said...

But I just have to say: shaving completly dry sounds really painful. I've managed to be razor-burn free while shaving with a new sharp razor and shaving cream, plus deoderant applied afterwards.

To be honest, it really doesn't hurt. Completely dry is the easiest way for me for some reason. I tried it on my legs once though and it wasn't pretty.

I can't imagine doing a bikini shave dry! OUCH! But if it works for you, hey.

Dry shaving works for me too, but I've got to shave with the grain, not against.

I work on a fully nude club too and I don't shave every day though. Nude on stage they can't see that much anyway, and in VIPs I either just don't show that much or go a bit creative with the poses. Ie if I'm on my back with legs spread out my legs are high enough to actually cover the bikini line area and you can't see the slight stubble on the labia in the dim lighting. If I'm standing up I have my legs closed so that the bikini line area is also covered. I've found that for me that's the area where the stubble shows the worst.

It's not like they're going to touch anyway so I don't have to be all smooth. Also, I epilate the bikini line whenever I get a chance, doesn't require as much growth as waxing does.

I actually do it against the grain lol.

Unfortunately, the lighting, although dim, in our lap dance area is horrible. And it makes all of my bruises look so dark and shows right where the Dermablend is, and it makes my legs look blotchy and stubbly, when I have no stubble on my legs!

Do you have something like blacklight only with maybe some light effects in the lap dance area? I used to work at a club like that, the only solution for my bruises I found was to wear stocking. Custies kept asking me if I had an abusive boyfriend/pimp, some went even as far as to offer to beat them up for me, and nobody ever bought that the bruises were from pole dancing. So yea, I wore stocking or fishnets.

Edit, also especially in lighting like that the stubble on your pussy would show far less than ingrowns or skin irritation. For your legs, just shave every day, or the stocking would help with that too. Fishnets don't screw with your pole dancing either.

I'm a dry shaver too. I get ingrowns only when I shave in the shower.

I think it's a black light in there, because it really makes our teeth glow, and thus look even more ghastly under the lighting lol. Our teeth don't really glow in the rest of the club. I've already had a few customers concernedly ask me where my bruises came from lol.

I love the idea of some garter/stocking sets, but won't doing and undoing them and removing them be a hassle before and after every lap dance? And even if I just remove the panties, and have nothing on but the garter and the hose, won't the hose get run a lot during lap dances?

And should I be wearing UV protection under the club lighting?

No those UV glow lights won't hurt your skin. Altho some seem to recommend level 8-15 UV protection for indoors, too.

Most of the runs I ever had in my stocking came to on stage not during lapdances. I've had the occasional mishap with fencenets and belt buckles but nothing worse than that. I always just leave the stocking on, more often than not I get picked exactly because I'm wearing them. I usually wear stay-ups but when I wear garter belts I try to make sure they're so small they don't cover anything essential.
