    Preventing nocturnal "noises"

So I'm seeing a new, super sweet guy. When we go to bed at night, and in the early morning, I sometimes get a full tummy, and worry about escaping, ummm, noises. Ya know?

I keep it in, but them my tummy gets bloated. So tonight I took some Immodium that also has gas relief in it. I hope it works.

Now, I'm not all stupid and uptight about this type of thing once the relationship develops, but I'm always weary about it early on. I even close my ears when the guy goes to the bathroom because I don't want to hear some loud messy fart to ruin my perfect fantasy of him.

    Strange, huh?

Do you ladies take anything for this? Does anyone else care about this stupid shit like I do? Again, if it gets serious, I'll be the first one to announce that I have to go to the pool and drop off some kids and laugh. But early on....I'm weird like that.

What do you do? Is it unsafe to take an Immodium or "GasX" type of pill for overnight, non-emergency needs? I hate waking up with a bloated belly!

oh man, i just gotta tell ya that I was dating this kid once, and the first night we spent together, while he was sleeping, he actually lifted his leg, let out this HUGE stinkin fart...and slept right through it. I hadn't fallen asleep yet, but even if I had...either the noise or the smell would have woken me.

Eh..way I see it...farts or any other nocturnal noises cannot be prevented. Just hope everyone is sleeping and won't know.

I worry about that stuff too. I would worry about taking Imodium for it because it might make you constipated. I've never taken it but I know Pepto does that to me. Maybe try that Gas-X stuff or something?

I know its normal but damnit I guess im just girly that way lol. I always worry when I sleep with someone new im going to 'let one slip'.

i'm ridiculously paranoid/shy about that sort of stuff.

there's this yogi tea for digestion that has fennel and peppermint and a number of other things that helps keep my stomach quiet and happy without disrupting digestion the way a lot of otc medicines can.

taking aloe vera juice has helped me a lot too.

I must be weird, I've never worried about it. People fart in our sleep. I've never really thought about this before, but I guess if a guy is already sleeping in my bed, then we're at the point where a nocturnal fart is not a catastrophe. (Sleeping together is very intimate in my opinion, and I don't share the sleeping with casual playmates.) It's just a fart. But then, I think farts are hilarious.

And Kaylinn - LMAO at the dude who lifted his leg! K did that once, we were cuddled up tight and I was spooning him from behind, so his ass was buried in my groin. He was completely unconscious and he raised his leg, blew this massive fart directly on me, then snuggled back down with this happy little sigh. I was laughing so hard I'm surprised I didn't wake him up.

Rejuvelac help me w/ my digestive problems. But as far as letting one go, I go ahead and pass it. I've learned how to control the sound by releasing it slowly.
I hate having a bloated stomach, it so uncomfortable and unattractive.

I did it once (that I know of) and it woke me up. I could literally feel my then-bf looking at me, but I just continued on like I was sleeping, Eventually, I fell back to sleep but I was embarassed as all hell.

I've thought about taking beano or something ....I never thought about the Immodium stuff with gas relief. I don't think it would be harmful if you're using it every so often. My friend has heartburn and indigestion really bad and takes that stuff all day long.

Maybe they have something at your local health food store that you could take every night. Something herbal and natural.

    I needed this thread!

K, I am an incredibly gassy woman. No doubt about it. My body can't contain gas, at all...so I fart. Lots. My man calls me Miss Tooter, that's how bad it is!

But the first week we slept together I tried so hard to hold it all in! So one night we lay down facing eachother and start to fall asleep and I do this snort/snore/gasp thing right in his face! We were about three inches apart all snuggly! I scared him, scared myself and then we got the giggles.

I roll over away from him so I don't do it again and get all comfy.......and ripped one right on his thigh. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

So I'm all embarassed but I know he's awake still, and he knows I am...so I bolt up and go "Do you have spiders?!?!"
huh? "Because I swear I just heard the rare coughing spider of Arizona!"

Or maybe it was a barking frog......still not sure!

I get the embarassment thing while you are awake and walking around during the day, but if you are willing to let a man put his penis in your vagina, he better be able to handle whatever music your body makes while you are asleep.

When you hold it in, the gas comes out while you sleep.

My toots are not stinky. I muffle the sound of the exhale with toilet paper or the scrunched up fabric of my underwear. I cherish the time when my SO is not around so that I can fart with reckless abandon.

I'm wondering how it's possible to sleep with tp bunched up your ass. I'd rather deal with the embarassment than deal with tp in my ass. Plus..what if it worked it's way out in your sleep? Wouldn't it be more embarassing for the dude to find your fart paper in bed, ratehr than just hear you fart?

I don't get it....How can a dude know to lift his leg in his sleep? And why do they need to lift their leg? The fat can escape just fine with the legs down. I alwyas thought you lifted your leg to facilitate a fart that just wasn't ready to come out yet and needed a little extra oomph to get it out. You know..the farts that yu can feel up in yoru tummy and you gotta coax them down.

My guy is polite enough to give me warnign when we are cuddled up like that. " Umm...I would move if I were you".
So I move back to allow the fart to escape, but then it wafts u pfrom under the warm covers....
Sometimes I wonder if it would be better just to get gassed on, maybe that woudl suffocate the smell.

Boy farts, in general are way worse than girl farts, unless she is on her period. Nothing compares to period farts.

Well....sorry I have gone so far off topic. A subject I'm passionate about came up, and I ran with it.

There have been times I will be alone in the bedroom (on my period) and let one go....the man will be down the hall in the computer room...

"Oh My Gawd! Babe! What did you EAT?!?!"

Hehehe. Is it wrong to say I am actually proud of those? I'm pretty sure that's wrong....
