Default krchab99's drugstore make up review

I am starting this thread becuse I noticed yesterday that i tend to buy any cosmetic they advertise during daytime tv lol. My make up bag has everything form the highest end stuff (my diorshow) to midrange (clinque) to drug store which i have more of then anything else cause its fun to buy and reaidly avavailable but i don't have anything way cheap like wet n wild or rimmile i stay away from that. I am goint to give u my opiones on the lasted advertised makeup.

    starting with

Almay true match foundtioan-- I find this to work as they say it did match my skin tone but it coused me to break out so i am using there clear complication foundation right now.

Almay true match blush-- I love it looks great on and a little goes a long way.

Cover girl out last lip shine--- okay im going to Rave on this i love it it looks great and dose last along time it is better then its orginal cover girl outlast which i found to drying.

Revlone renewist lip color--- its okay not great and not worth the 7.97 I payed for it the packaging makes it look like a cheaper lipstick the product goes on smooth but dose not last long and is just not that much differnt then any other lipsick.

revlon twice bitten lipstain--- this product could be great if it was applied with a brush in stead of a rolling ball applicator it goes on very watery but the color is pretty.

loreal hip-- This has been talked about on sw before i love the eye color but the rest of like i don't enjoy so much.

Maybelline wetshine diamonds-- this is my standby lip color is use in the shade pink diamonds and I have it in my purse and in makeup bag anywhere else i am reguarly lol i have used it for years.

Thats what i have right now if there are any products i have not metioned you want to know about feel free to ask me i probaly already have it if not ill buy it and try it.

Loreal HIP - Love the pigment shadows in a pot, the stick shadows don't work very well and end up uneven. The pressed shadow works ok, but isn't as vibrant. The pot of liner gets very dry and flakey, irritating on the eyes as well.

Jane black pressed eyeshadow works well. Very black, great fordarkening the eyes. I line with black liner, then go over it with this.

Milani just came out with a new shadow kit, can't remember the name, but it's a set of 5 different coordinating shadows. Pretty colors, very vibrant, but the packaging sucks. The shadow comes in very long, thin lines, close to each other, so t's hard to pick up color of one without getting other colors mixed in, plus, they break very easily and have made a huge mess on my carpet. I'm thinking of rebuying it and transferring it to different pots.

Other milani shadows work well, but they all are very messy for me, and I get it all over my face.

^ the milani glimmer stripes, the cheap alternative to bobbi brown shimmerbricks!!! i love shimmerbricks, but i don't have a bobbi brown counter near me, so this is a nice replacement! the colors in the milani are pretty shimmery, where as i found that the bobbi brown brick wasn't AS sparkly, but didn't make me look like a glitter pixie like milani did.

for reference, i use milani's honey stripes, bobbi brown beige shimmerbrick

No, not the glimmer strips. It's sort of liek that, but the colors are all seperate, seperated by a thin line of plastic, but still so close together that you can't pick up just one color, plus, the shadow is very soft, which is causing it to break up when I try to pick up the color, so it's falling apart.

Ok, I went and checked it out. Called Runway eyes

I love the lipsticks in the wetshine diamonds line. Pink diamond is one I've enjoyed as well.

I always noticed Wetshine Diamonds lipstick to come right off.

And maybe I'm not picking the right shade or something, but I've tried a pink, a peach, a berry, and a red, and they all looked off for my skin tone, which I'd say is very average white girl.

    Milani pencils are what's up!

^^ Yeah, pretty good, a little sticky, I put on an extra coa of vasoline or carmex on over top, but it lasts and looks good.

If you have dry flaky skin yet don't want to put gobs of lotion on that makes you break out, Clean & Clear oil free Dual Action Moisturizer is pretty good. It is, obviously, moisturizer but also has some acne medication in it.

I love the line of Almay eye makeup that's supposed to be specially made for each eye color.

And OHMYGOSH. Best lip gloss/chap stick ever: Blistex Lip Infusion. It is a gloss that has a roller ball application but it goes on so light, not sticky or tacky. Just shiny, and it moisturizes and smells good. I love it. Also easy to put on over lipstick.

    I swear by-

Almay's products, especially the foundations and mascara. The eyeliner is just as good as Revlon's

IsaDora's Gleaming EyeShadow Wet & Dry in Gold- gold makeup accents work great in club lights

Physician's Formula Conceal RX- almost spackle-like, a little goes a long way to cover undereye circles and blemishes

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder- comes in a cute little oval canister. A little goes a long way, as well

Maybelline's new glittery lipgloss (in a long silver tube with a click-bottom dispenser) these ROCK!!!!! Sexy as hell.

Revlon's Lipsticks- yes, Revlon is an evil corporation, but these are the bomb.

Which one- the dark purple one? That is the one I want to try- I'm gonna buy it now.

Thanks for this rec- I'm tired of using Cetaphil super thick cream. I want something that is light but still super-moisturizing. The only thing working for me now is Extra Virgin Olive Oil- but I'll try this.

    My fav drugstore items:

Black Radiance eyeliner- goes on smooth, very black- $1.99

Loreal Voluminous mascara. Don't buy it anymore but it was a staple for years.

Milani mascara/glitter liner duo- Didn't try the mascara but the liner went on very well, a good & cheap way to try glitter liner if you are curious.

Max Factor Volume Couture mascara- I may buy this forever. Works better than my other favorite Too Faced Lash Injection(which is also good but costs 2x as much).

Rimmel Lash Maxx mascara- super tiny comb mascara, but it works very well- I love it. The comb is really tiny, you should be able to get all your lashes.

Even though I have mascaras that work for me, I'm going to try Loreal's Telescopic since it is a lengthening mascara and all my others are volume types. I'll report back.

^^ I HATED the telescopic mascara!!

Clumpy, spider eyes. I hate anything with the comb, but this still was extra terrible.

Yea! Do you have it yet? I was impressed with it. It is a lil sticky like Kaylinn said, but I thought it lasted longer than Loreal Juicy Tubes...

Another product that I like is NYC Jumbo Lip Pencils. If you put clear or matte gloss on top, it won't be drying, and really stays. True colors.

I swear by Max Factor Volume Couture, it's wonderful!

I tried the Telescopic when they were out of the Max Factor...it was ok...but I didn't like it as much as the volume couture.

I just got the purple set. I love the color and it blends well. I like the colors better than my chanel eyeshadows.

It does flake a bit but it doesn't break apart for me or get all over my face. Chanel got on my face more.
