    i'm cheap. haha.

i don't really have a set price. for a simple portfolio site with a few pics, a bio and work details etc... i dunno, a few hundred? most places charge like $1000+ but i usually do basic stuff for around $400.

Congrats! I'd definately suggest that you spend your money on security! There are tons of websites out there that have teams of members that spend their time hacking into model and porn websites and sharing the bounty just for e-props.

If you get a good looking, well functioning page without all the unnecessary bells and whistles (long drawn out flash intros, music playing over each button hover, rotating picture galleries and crap that is irritating anyways, etc)... you can get a good page for like, less than $600.00.

I agree with Darcy's price.... $400.00 is low but good. I'd say $500-$600 is probably the most reasonable price you will find out there. Register your own name and get your own hosting. I use godaddy.com, too. They don't have any restrictions on adult content. You can get high transfer and stuff to, for like $100.00 a year. I'd suggest getting a non-domain purchase and THEN registering a whole bunch of domain names for future business endeavors. Normally if you buy hosting, domains are only like $1.00 or $2.00. And a good page done by one of the many e-designing females will be functional AND eye catching AND sexy vs overly techy. A lot of the adult design pages are just... ugh. It's like people use your page to show OTHER people all the flashy shit they can do. Since Darcy is kinda sorta in a sexy pretty business...she'd probably be able to design a page that would serve you well.

I don't know Darcy...she's just the only person in the thread who said she designs

You can probably have your member sign in and gallery the only things encrypted, and have them on a different server, if that makes sense. That way your actual site is separate from your members site and it will be cheaper than having everything all super locked up and secure.

The girl who does my pages hooks me up cuz we're buddies and she knows that I will always come back to her and refer her to people.

It's crazy cuz I know so damn much about the website thing and promoting and marketing, etc... but the damn advertising click-thru money still confuses me.

Windy ya can make simple websites for free if ya don't want anything extravagant. Looks like all ya wanna do is post some information that can be updated and maybe some picture galleries. If ya want ppl to be able to sign in and play on forums and such then thats a job for a pro. Theres plenty of free templates out there if ya don't need anything professional, ya just add your own stuff, change the colors etc.: http://www.ozzu.com/webtemplates/scr...00/14372-b.jpg

I may be able to put something together over the weekend for ya if ya know what you want. I've farted around with a site builder program before, its not that hard.

here is another vote for godaddy. also agree with the idea of registering businesses even if you think you might use it way down the line. the name is the toughest thing, everything is taken!

My day job is as a Web Developer. I highly recommend GoDaddy.com for all of your domain name needs. If you get a domain name, definitely think about the private registration option. This will allow you to keep your actual name off of the searches when someone looks to see who owns the domain. Very useful.

However, I suggest another company for your actual hosting. Surpass Hosting.

Their simplest package will give you 200 GB of storage space along with 2000 GB of bandwidth (upload/download) each month. All for $60 a year. From what I've researched the price is extremely hard to beat. This is also as I said the lowest package, so if you need more space (eventually) then you have an easy option to add more. Their deals include a whole lot more for that price as well. No matter who you go with for designing the website, I highly recommend those two companies for the domain name and hosting.

Feel free to PM me if there are any questions or interest.
