Default this is embarrassing, and I looked at old posts to find answers ...

I had my breasts lifted, cut around the nipple, small implants put in ... blah blah blah ... This was 7 weeks ago. I was with my boyfriend FINALLY this weekend and OMG!! I felt nothing in my nipples! NOTHING! I didn't want to freak out in front of him. But what the hell?? This is my erogenous zone we're talking about here!!

I looked at old posts on this same issue, but I'm not really sure if I'm understanding some of the responses ... how long before sensation in nipples comes back??? Without a doubt, I asked my doc this before doing the surgery because, as I said, this is my erogenous zone, and he said that I would have sensation back ... I guess I should have asked how long.

So please ... anybody --- feedback ... how long before your erogenous zone had feelings again?????

some girls loose feeling for a few weeks, some not at all. and some never fully regain sensation.

but you should see "final" results in 3-6 months, at tops a year.

call you doctor tomorrow, or today if he's still open.

Loss of sensation happens pretty frequently with BA's, and I'd imagine its even more common with more extensive surgery like a lift.

With my BA, I did have some loss of sensation on my underboobs. My nipples are still sensitive, luckily. From what I've read, most girls say that the sensation comes back with time. I can tell mine is coming back but it took quite a while, about 3 months. Other girls have said it took 6 months or a year, and sometimes it never comes back. But it does seem that with the vast majority of girls, the feeling does come back eventually.

The forums at allaboutplasticsurgery.com will have a lot more info.

Mine were numb for a couple of weeks, then hit the hypersensitive phase. That lasted months, which sucked trying to keep hubbies hands off the new "toys". It was about 18mos for sensation to level out and fully return tho.

mine too, and I got the benelli lift as well

and gosh, don't be embarrassed. Someone cut up your boobs and sewed them back together. It's okay if they aren't completely back to normal.

I'm repeating what everyone else has said.

My incision was through my nipple not the areola, I lost sensitivity for awhile, ( my nipples could not even get hard ).

After a few months( I can't exactly remember how long ) the sensitivity returned and has been more sensitive than ever! I wish they weren't so sensitive, seriously sometimes it's uncomfortable.

I've heard sometimes that a BA can increase nipple sensitivity because the nerve endings are stretched or pulled taut.

Wow, thanks!! You know it's funny because I know all this stuff from working in medicine for so long, but yet, when it comes to myself, I still freak out thinking I'm going to be the 1% of the population that loses sensation, or the 1% of the population whose nose collapses after a nose job and so on and so on ....

I have no scarring at all and never bruised.

I really love this surgeon and am considering going back for Silicone in December. He can't use the same type of incision for Silicone, though but he's still able to use a small incision through the areola.

I totally thought this thread would be something way more embarrassing! Like constipation or something.

Enjoy your new boobs and don't worry! It's only been 7 weeks!

I didnt get much feeling until recently hon. I had mine done in February, so its been 6 months.

It may start to come back slowly. I know some cases never do, but its not THAT common.

    Give it a little time.

Ahh.. you went to Dr. Gray? Sweet. He did a ton of my friends' boobs. All of them ended up getting pretty damn large implants (does he usually encourage patients to go big?) but they look natural at the same time!

I got my boobs done about 3 years ago, and my nipple sensitivity is slightly less than what it was, but before they were almost TOO sensitive. I also had nipple piercings, so these might have something to do with it as well. But there are parts of my breast that are pretty damn close to numb, such as under the creases. As long as I still have sensitivity in my nipples tho, the rest really doesn't bother me. Nipple's the only thing I really liked sucked on my breast anyways <laugh> I had mine done through the belly button.
