I feel like am I one of very few who doesn't watch tv. Everybody's talking about all these different shows and I am clueless. I do like a good movie and will watch the news but I just rather stay on the internet or read. Anybody else like this?

I rarely watch TV anymore. I do like (make that obsess over) seeing "Lost", but that's about it. On occasion I enjoy the History channel, or Discovery channel. Sometimes I watch the news, but 99% of the time I prefer the readable internet. News on TV mostly can be distilled down to a few sentences and video clips. The pundits and reporters rarely have much to say of interest that I can't read in a few sentences. I'd rather play a game, read a book, work out, listen to music, take a drive, get drunk, play with my cat, take a vacation, etc., then watch TV. That said, there are a couple of series like the Sopranos that I enjoyed on DVD, commercial free, wait free. I wouldn't have had the patience to tune in if it was on TV though.
I do not own a working television. I have a TV that plays DVD's because I like to watch movies every once in awhile, but it gets no TV signal at all. I find I am much happier without television, although somebody needs to get me a copy of the second season of "Big Love" RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!
Only Rock of Love, and sometimes Family Guy. I don't have cable, and use bunny ears for the few times I watch my own tv....

I don't have one.
I concluded long ago I'd be a full-fledged shut-in if I owned cable. So I don't. I do watch some pretty, HDTV over-the-air signals. And Public Broadcasting (and Family guy). And I have a good DVD player (with an HDMI cable) here on the 52" DLP set for rentable movies.

i wouold die. period. i have my tv routines hahahaha.

Right now I don't watch much tv at all some CO.J.NN at work but thats about it.

I hardly ever watch tv and when I do its usually something unpopular.
I have no idea who most famous people are and I have absolutly no interest in finding out.
I used to not have a tv, but since living with my boyfriend we had to get a TV and a TiVo...as a result, I watch a lot more tv, but not nearly as much as the average American. I'd rather read, or do something else.
Where I put my foot down is no TV in the bedroom. I refuse to put one in there. Bedrooms are for sex and sleep. period.
I only get to watch TV at hotels during bookings, since the people I live with monopolize the TV.
(& Yes, NerdStripper here watches the news.)

I really don't. Pretty much just when I go home to visit the parents and have nothing better to do. Here I'm too busy with sites like stripperweb!
I did have a pretty strong obsession for House but then it got a little repetitive. So, no TV except an occasional dog show for me or football game for boyfriend. And now I have roommates that watch TV 24/7. I have my own but I don't get cable in my room.
And somehow I still manage to stay up on major news and pop culture. Damn. I could care less about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton yet still feel like I'm forced to know everything about them![]()

We have 5 TVs dotted around the house but I'm somewhat ADD. Unless I'm watching a captivating movie/DVD with the fam' or catching a much-anticipated sports event, I would rather be online, reading and/or listening to music...
I watch TV in my hotel room between shows n stuff but I don't really watch it.. its more background noise for me.... I have my shows though like Roseanne and CSI and Law and Order and Without A Trace... then I have my afternoon shows like Still Standing, Yes Dear and umm yea..

I do watch a good amount of Tv dvds, but I don't have an actual tv. I'd kinda like one to catch some Mystery! and Law & Order and Daily Show. I CANNOT cope with commercials though. I get seriously angry at them.
I'm considering one of those thin tvs, so I can hide it.

I don't even have cable set up. I have a tv, and I'll watch movies every now and then. But for the most part, the tv is kept off.
I'd rather read a book or go online.

Awwee, Cally likes Still Standing and Roseanne! I HEART them both so hard. I love my tv. I live alone and have to have some kind of noise while I am studying.

I would be lost without tv, it practically raised mej/k
I love Prison Break (mmm Michael Scofield), Entourage (mmm Vince), Desperate Housewives, ANTM, The Hills, and all sorts of reality crap![]()
I admire those of you that can do without. I need TV on almost all the time..or radio or something. If I dont have background noise ...the noise in my head gets deafening.
Of course...I rarely actually watch it...I am online or reading or cleaning or working out..blah blah
