    Default Yom Kippur/holy holidays

Hey everyone! To everyone who is Jewish, happy Yom Kippur!

To everyone who is not, are you bothering working tonight? Do you think it will be dead to the point of pulling teeth to get a LD? I noticed on Rosh Hashana that it was pretty dead (also a Friday).

    Thoughts/opinions?

I think it depends a lot on what area you live in. If it's a heavy Jewish area, i might be a little slower, but if you live in a more Catholic populated area, you won't notice a difference.

Out here religious holidays have NO affect on strip club business at all, except for Christmas, when it is INSANLY busy.

    it's a pretty solemn holiday.

on the other hand, i think the solemn part ends at sunset. it might actually be good for business. but then, well, i know a lot of jewish guys who take a lot of pride in being, ahem, "jewish". in the financial stereotype sense.

edit: it ends sunset tomorrow. starts with sunset today. so yeah, not good tonight. maybe tomorrow night.

My club is in Philly........and I believe there is a pretty good Jewish population there, correct me if I'm wrong. Taylorlila, my club was pretty dead last night too. It is a solemn holiday, it probably won't be great (I remember how bad Good Friday was).

And Kaylinn, you are lucky to live in LV!!

Jewish holidays have zero impact on clubs here in Indiana, or anything else, really. It's mostly christian territory.

I've never noticed a holiday to have an effect on the clubs. The only time it has any impact is around xmas when the clubs are packed for xmas parties.

I've only worked a few Fridays, but it was not as busy tonight as the Fridays that I've seen.

It was slow at my club but I doubt it had anything to do with Yom Kippur. Hopefully tonight will be better!

The East Coast areas have a substantial Jewish population compared to other parts of the country. Ethnic holidays have virtually no impact on business in much of the rest of the country, as only a small percentage of the population is affected by them.
