    Default Platinum stages- question

Im buying a super pole from one of the girls on here. and i was wondering can i make a base for it my self (the stage) and mount the pole on to it? like i mean i want to make a stage so i can take the pole out side in the back yard and practice. would this work? i know the pole is in peices. for any one who has one might be able to tell me if this is possible.

It is possible. Alena Downs made one. PM her and ask her how she did it?

If you could make a stage that had enough support on the bottom as well as something that went over it to apply tension to, it could work. It mounts using tension.. the same way a toilet paper holder works haha. So you'd need a ceiling and floor that are level and sturdy.

No it doesn't need anything at the top. If it has a tread at the bottom and the box is deep enough to hold it sturdy it can be 'free standing'. You also need to put sand bags or something of the sort in the box to give it weight to hold it right so that way it doesn't tip.

The PS super pole has treads at the bottom as it screws into plates which are the tension mount. The tension is done from the top but the bottom screws into plates and the top has a nut that you tighten which gives the tension. Talk to Alena she sells the same pole and she can explain how to do the stage thing.

no, don't do it for the multi piece one. if it were the one piece super pole, then yes you could easily. doing that with any multipiece is just way too much stress on the "joints" when you spin or do a trick.

they do have threads at the bottom. you would need to make sure that the stage is weighed down a LOT. by using sandbags...minimum of 3...better with 4, best with 5.

makes sense summer. i could see how it would cause stress on them. so maybe i should just use it inside.

BTW summer i was the one that talked to you on the phone the other day about classes (im the girl who asked about the hand and arm exersizes)

I do use the PS Multipiece in a stage.

Never has it been a problem.....but I change it a bit.

I had a base built..you use the smallest extension piece tha comes with the pole in the stage base....which actually would be the top piece.

I turn the pole upside down to thread it into the extension piece..keeping the pin base as the top.

I have used it in every trade show I have done for 2 year...and I use it for demos 2-3 times a week! I had a women well over 150lbs do the fireman spin.

There is no more tension to the pole than if it was set up in the house with a ceiling and a floor....there is only one seam above the sleeve.

I use 4 sand bags...and I give the pole a good workout!! It has been able to take what ever I throw at it!!

The only thing I could think of being a problem is for left handed swings..due to the thread direction on the extension??? I will have to try a left reverse grab to let you know for sure!

Well that would make ALL the difference. The multipiece is only rated to 200lbs.

I cant get a pic on here from my hard drive..it has to be from a web location??? I am confused or I would post one!
