    Default Lower Back Acne

I know most people have upper back acne and I do. I can rid of that easily. But lately I have been getter a lot of lower back acne. Like where you would put a lower back tat and also on my tail bone. I try exfoliating, yet right now I have one deep cyst that is so painful I thought it was my usual back pain making my back tender until I looked in the mirror. Am I just not keeping it clean enough? Would a salt scrub help?

It could be alcohol... if you drink, I've noticed either alcohol or milk will do this to me.

I hardly ever drink, haven't in some time. I do like milk though, however I have always drank a lot of milk and this is just a recent problem.

Whenever my back breaks out (usually when I get my period) I put the stuff from this website on and it makes it go away pretty fast. I like it because it is inexpensive and works very well.

Have you switched your body wash/soap recently? The Oil of Olay body wash made my back break out so bad...I threw it away three days after buying it.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear gel will get rid of these overnight...they also make astringent pads that are good to use at work (alternately, you could pour half a bottle of astringent into a box of unscented baby wipes).

ETA: A sea salt/hot water washcloth compress would probably help. Also, I don't know if you tan, but if you use a bed they might not be cleaning it well enough. Just a thought...

I don't know about lower back acne, but try head and shoulders shampoo. I get upper back acne and that helps with that. I learned that trick from SW!

I got that one summer for a few months... it was kind of like a rash. It was very strange random break out. Sorry I have no tips. I ignored it (wasn't dancing or modelling or anything) and it went away

LAChloe; that was me that suggested H&S...

It has worked WONDERS for my bacne!
I still had a couple of small breakouts, but now I am supplementing the H&S with a genereic Alpha Hydroxy Lotion I got at Walgreens in a tub, and have a clear back completely!! SO happy!

I hope maybe this works for you.

    Could also be shampoo/conditioner residue...

Eh, I can't use H & S because I already use a stronger coal tar shampoo for my severe seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp. I can't use both of those or it will dry out my hair.
