Default Blurb about Rick's in Philly

'It lays out Rick's formula for success, including its "no-tolerance policy regarding illicit sex or illegal drug use in or around the premises."'
    *chuckle*

Interesting about the stock prices. Seems like the NYC club boosted them significantly. No dancer buy-in program yet, though. hee.

I got into their stock at $8.00 a share three weeks ago. It hit $12 yesterday before it pulled back. There is some SERIOUS accumulation of RICK shares by mutual fund companies right now.

I SOOOOOOOOOOO wanna come work there now!!!! Not only to meet my SW friends, but for ONCE I wouldn't mind selling a bottle of overpriced champagne.

So what are the hours you can come in now? I am hopefully moving back to PA soon and I might want to try this one again, see how it is since they're all established now.

what about the dress code? I'd heard that it might become a gowns-only club after the change is complete...true or no?

why is everyone so concerned about gowns?

it's not a gown club and there's no talk that it ever will be. But if it is....well, who cares? There's still a lot of money to be made here and they can put me in a gorilla suit as long as that part stays the same.

Exactly. I've always wondered WHY so many girls get so bent out of shape at the mere thought of OMG having to wear a *gasp!* gown. I've seen/heard the bullshit about "gowns don't look good on me" - WTFever, ANYone looks good in a gown if you get the right kind. And yeah, I'd be right there beside ya in that gorilla suit Em, as long as the money's there. Who cares?

I have no problem with wearing gowns. I own and enjoy wearing a little bit of everything: short dresses, gowns, lingerie, short and long 2-piece outfits, slutty fishnet stuff...

I simply prefer not to work in a club where I'm only allowed to wear one type of thing. Things can get monotonous enough for me when I'm going to the same club, same atmosphere, with the same people, same type of music, same typical custy lines, etc. day in and day out. Not being allowed to have much variety in how I dress would drive me nuts. It's for the same reason that I try out new hustling techniques. Same reason why I sometimes bring in new songs that I've just found or ask the DJs to just surprise me instead of playing the same 20+ songs that have been on my dance card forever. Same reason why I bother to experiment with new hair colors and styles, new makeup, etc. I love going in one night in a shimmering satin gown and classy jewelry, and going in the next night in a black minidress with fishnets, 8" leather boots and loads of smudgy eye makeup. And the next night going all lingerie-model with my hair curled and wearing a bustier, garterbelt and lacy shorts. And so on.

Variety keeps me from getting stale; keeping myself fresh helps me make more money. Being made to wear only gowns is like being in a club where they play nothing but techno music--I love it, there's nothing wrong with it, but it gets old fast when it's the only thing I can have.

    Chacon son gout.

I sooooo understand that. I combat the boredom by working different clubs (where I can use my different styles), travelling, and obviously owning many different outfits so no matter where I'm working I have several different outfits to choose from

spasibo; now I have the image in my head of you, Emily and Bridgette all lined up on an SC stage, wearing gorilla suits and doing a chorus-line dance.

I love gowns. One piece, easy to take on and off, nothing to lose, and takes the guesswork out of dressing. I wear 'em in dives. Love gowns.

That being said, Emily, you now know what to wear for Halloween at the club: a gorilla mask and a sparkly gown.

Mr W just made me laugh; he said that's like baseball banning performance-enhancing drugs.
