    Default The benefits of Acai

Read about Acai!! I am going to have at least one serving of this fruit a day after reading this article.

Since I started my healthy eating and workout program (inspired by the SW Workout Challegne thread) I've added acai fruit to my diet. There is a health food deli next door to my gym that sells Acai energy bowls (acai blended with soymilk and topped with hemp granola, mangoes, strawberries, and bananas). Since I've been eating this stuff I have been feeling great (I'm sure the workouts have been helping me feel great too, but the diet helps). Or maybe it's the hemp granola that's giving me a buzz. Hee hee j/k.

    Just thought I'd share!

Sunshine that acai drink sounds good. I just had one a couple days ago. I went to a Brazilian restaurant and they made me an acai drink- pureed acai with milk which is apparently how Brazilians drink it. I tasted weird and not very good. Trader Joes makes acai sorbet which is really delicious. It doesn't taste weird at all. It's probably not quite as healthy but still somewhat good for you.

The place I go to makes this acai-blended-with-soymilk-topped-with-fruit concoction, and it's not a drink. It sorta comes out like yogurt or pudding. It's so damn good, I'm addicted to it. Jamba Juice has acai smoothies, and I tried them and liked them.

I'm not sure about Odwalla or Naked acai smoothies.

I dunno. I like the taste. Maybe I'm weird.

I like Acai, I just bought the sorbet tonight since I don't have a blender to make a smoothie. I too have a lot of energy and just feel really good overall when I'm taking it.
