I read about this in the news. They say that a lot of Ivy League students couldn't pass it. I'd chalk it up to 1) having other majors, and 2) the large number of international students.
I'm too pukey to take it right now, but my bro got a 90. He's a history major.

It's a bullshit test. It's designed to be difficult in a dishonest way. Example (and this is as far as I bothered to go):
9) The War of 1812:
A. was a decisive victory for the United States over Spain.
B. was a stalemate.
C. established America as the leading power in the world.
D. enhanced Robert E. Lee's reputation as America's most talented general.
E. was confined only to sea battles.
A, C, D, and E are all absolutely wrong. That leaves B as the correct answer, which is so not how I would describe the outcome. The U.S. got what it wanted. Stalemate? Oooo-kay. I call BS!
I scored 61. something-percent...Considering I have been out of school for a decade I guess I did OK.
(It did give me a yucky flashback of studying very hard for my 8th grade Civics exam and only barely passing. NOW I'm going to have nightmares about Thomas Jefferson & Henry Kissinger spanking me, thanks a lot, Mr, Hyde!)
