    Default HAHA Weird diet motivation

I was googling diet motivation, and I found this article:
    http://www.slashfood.com/2007/01/08/...for-your-diet/

It cracked me up. It's a pig you put in your cupboard or fridge, and if you open the door and stand there, looking for something to munch on for too long, it oinks angrily at you.

I think, in a fit of PMS-inspired "I need chocolate mood", I'd get so angry I'd probably throw it.

Most people put pics of who they want to look like as motivation. When I was trying to diet, I found pics of really obese girls in bikinis, and put them on my fridge with notes saying YOU WANNA LOOK LIKE THIS???

Stopped me in my tracks every time I wanted to reach for a snack.

^ The obese girls really does the job way better than looking at the hot pics. The girls that I want to look like just make me feel like the goal is way too far away.
Btw, that pig is really ugly and would drive me crazy it would make me feel like eating bacon haha.

I really don't get that "thinspiration" of posting photos of hin tpeople who aren't me. The pig is cute though. I would rather have quantifiable and measurable results rather than pursue an unrealistic body type.

The thinspiration photos helped me the most. So does not eating alone. If I have friends around I manage my eating habits much better., especially if they're super thin. I think the pig would work too- I guess the trick is to find something that will movtivate, or perhaps even embarass you to stop eating.

Eh Thinsporation or Thinspo photos. I'm guess they aren't pictures of anorexic chics. The term is commonly used on pro-ED sites. They always made me feel bad for not looking like them. I couldn't even celebrate my own progress after seeing them. So, I took them down never to return again.

^^ They're very common on ED sites, but that's not where they originated. Dieticians etc have used the term thinspiration for a while.

I've read a study that said women actually tend to eat more after looking at pictures of thin women. Interesting.

Personally "perfect" people like Adriana Lima don't inspire me much because I know I'll never look like that and horrifically obese people don't inspire me much because I know I'd never get that bad.

I find pictures of myself, both when I was fatter and when I was thinner, to be the most helpful. Especially since half the time I see completely different images in the mirror depending on whether I'm having a fat day or a thin day.

I wish I had more pictures of me at my thinnest. In any case I've been taking mostly nudie pictures of myself every ten pounds or so to motivate myself. Or in a dress that's too small that I bought ages ago.

    Is this the same one?

I think it's a cute idea, but would piss me off.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
At some point, most women (hopefully) realize that "the number" doesn't matter one iota and the notion of "slut" is just socially-generated bullshit meant to keep us "in our place". I will fuck who I please when I please and I don't give a rat's ass what anyone thinks about it.

Sometimes I catch a few minutes of that show "The Biggest Loser". THAT motivates me to stay in shape. Because it's so easy to imagine how gaining five pounds could slippery slope itself up to 100 pounds or something. SCARY.

Also, one of those guys LOST 31 POUNDS IN 7 DAYS! I know he weighed over 250 to begin with, but STILL. That must be some kind of record. It really kicks my lazy ass of the couch.

I could probably take a picture of my own ass in bright lighting and it would be inspiration enough! hah
