A fast metabolism is a blessing and a curse!
I was 110 pounds (at 5'7) from the time I was 16 until 6 months ago (I'm 24), when I started taking 10mg of Lexapro (an anti-depressant, anti-anxiety med). In those months, I steadily gained weight to be 130. I wasn't unhappy with the weight gain - I actually think I look great! But the weight gain was only from the med, and I've recently stopped taking it because my mood issues were mostly situational (a bad relationship I've gotten out of). I've been weaning myself off it for the last month, halving my dose, then halving that half.
The problem now is, my metabolism is getting back to the hummingbird speed it used to be at, and I'm suffering. I no longer have the appetite I had when I was on the med. I'm losing this weight, and I feel HORRIBLE (bodywise, not mood). I have no energy, I can't make myself exercise, it's hard to get going, and I'm sleeping a lot. I'm steadily losing the weight - probably too fast - and I don't know what to expect.
My question is, what are healthy foods I can eat in small quantities that will give me a lot of energy? The easier to prepare, the better. I'm a slacker.I can't make myself eat a lot. It's amazing, on the Lexapro I could dust a footlong from Subway like I was a Conehead, now I can barely finish half of that, so I need to get as much nutritional value in as small a quantity as possible. I don't really want to lose all the weight I gained, but I probably will.
