    Default Called Dr.Teitelbaum's office

Regarding the cohesive gel implant study, it cost about 9,000 for those implants
(gummy bear variety). She said they are NOT approved by the FDA and you can only
get them as part of a study if you are accepted.
I don't get it are the gummy bear implants/cohesive gel implants
approved or not. I thought I read on here and on the web that they have now
    been approved. *confused*

Silicone implants have been approved as of a little over a year ago. But you have to be 22 or going for reconstructive surgery or a redo. My doc had the "gummy bear" implants available. I dont know whats going on at that place. Are you under 22?

^^^ this is FDA politics. Certain plastic surgeons have signed up with the FDA to be participants in the 'cohesive gel implant' study ... which involves thousands of women. So if your doc has done the FDA paperwork he can get silicone gel implants, but if your doc has not done the FDA paperwork he can't. All doctors can get silicone bag implants, and can use them for patients with 'special problems' or for any patient over age 22. Some doctors are more flexible when diagnosing 'special problems' for girls under age 22 than others, if you catch my drift.

Hey ok I see yeah I am over 22 so that is not a problem. I made an apt. to see Dr.Teitelbaum on Oct. 8th. I am only interested in the gummy bear implants.
I do not want the regular silicones which can *possibly* leak. I guess I can
only get those in the anatomical shape though *if* I can be accepted into this study.
I don't know if round or anatomical is right for me I have NO clue..haha.
I guess if I can only get the gummy bear implants in anatomical then I have to get anatomical.

You guys seem like great breast experts, what do you think is the chance of
the anatomicals shifting or rotating? That is the only thing that freaks me out
because if I ever go back to dancing I would be afraid to hang upside down, etc.

Hers look good, are you sure those are anatomicals? Before silicone was approved, I almost got a BA with the anatomical gummies and would have been in one of the studies. I decided not to when I saw what the anatomical gummy implants looked like. They were flattened out like pancakes with a bulge on one side, not round and boobalicious like I thought a BA should be.

I dont know if hers are anatomicals or not someone here mentioned they were in another thread I posted about that girl Keeley's boobs.
Yeah this is totally confusing. With all of my research I def. only want the gummy bear implants. The pics of them *anatomical cohesive gels* dont look bad.
    I dunno....=/

There are different styles. The ones that the doc I consulted with were pancakes. That doesn't mean they all are. The better ones are shaped more like a tear-drop. I think it just depends on the style that each doc is registered to test.

I'm an American but got my anatomical/tear-drop co-gels done in France of April of last year. The project is not as 'upright' as high profile silicone or saline but they look VERY natural and most guys think they are real; they also feel very soft. PM me if you wish and I can send pictures of how they look 1 and a half year's post. If you do a search, you will see pictures of my 'new' boobs right after surgery.
