Default Who here has ever made a comeback? Anyone in Vegas?

    Hello~
Long story short: I quit dancing 3 years ago to have my baby & really miss it! Has anyone ever made a successful comeback?

Part 2 of my question: I live in Vegas & worked most of the clubs but as I said it has been 3 years. Where is the friendliest place to work in Vegas now? I used to not care about friendly faces (I worked Spearmint Rhino & CH2 & OG's) but I feel it will be more important now, life is short, you know?

    Any ideas?

I have quit live dancing only to restart again about 4 or 5 times I guess. The first week is a bit of a shock when you start dancing again ... half the shock is physical exertion related, and the other half of the shock is seeing how much the business has changed in a comparatively short time !!!

I have quit and restarted a few times, usually quitting with 6 months to a year off. I'm curently in a quit phase right now, and plan on going back at the end of October. It is a bit of an adjustment at first, but it all comes back fast. Like riding a bike.

Friendly faces in Vegas....hmm.....Anywhere you work consistantly faces will become friendly. worked at Sapphire for 3 years, and although soem faces change, some stay the same, and there's always someone familiar there....
Sapphire always treated me well, and I like their management. Spearmint Rhino would definatly be at the bottom of my list for friendly places to work. The treat girls like dirt....but girls put up with it cause the money is good there.

Sin also treats girls pretty good, management is nice, but it is a smaller club.

I don't think who is nice to work for is an important thing...it may make the work atmosphere better...but I don't go to work for nice, I go to work for money. I personally would never work at a club with nicer people but less money. But I guess...t's all a matter of opinion and what's important to you.

I know, I feel so soft looking for friendly faces, I used to not care (hence working & thriving @ the Rhino). I feel I can make $$ anywhere decent, but I want to ease in I guess....

How ironic. I just ended my 5 year Vegas hiatus two days ago. I was still dancing, just only at my home club in Phx. I worked at Scores. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to the new girl. I was actually REALLY surprised how nice everyone was! Business was slower than I expected, but I'm pretty good at finding that one guy, so I made decent money.

I quit dancing for 5 years and threw myself into the fire when I got back in and started dancing in Vegas. Age and an education has really spoiled me and at the same time ruined my view on the business. It's so much much harder to get back in but I did it and just find myself struggling. Times have changed, girls have changed, ethics, my body, my mentality, I have aged. It's hard. I can't wait to quit now.... in the middle of planning how to now....

XO Bridge. But honestly, I'm 29 and don't look like what I used to look like when I first started 11 years ago. Plus most of the new, young girls in this biz now are on the anorexic look trend, they make me feel obese! LOL

Kiki, again, shut up!!! I'm 34 and I don't look like I did when I started at 22 either. Obviously I will never have that 22yo baby face again, but I still look good and in fact I think my body is BETTER now after all the working out. I have seen your body, remember? You look fucking GREAT and your face is just beautiful.

Furthermore, I think being a little more curvy (not fat, YOU ARE NOT FAT!!) in a sea of skinnies is good. Men still like curves babe! AND the men with money to spend often prefer us older hotties because we've got more to talk about and all that...

As for the environment changes. Ehh, it's still possible to make money without going too far.

I'm 32 and I am doing better now than when i was in my twenties big booty and all...I do have to be careful about not showing how educated I am...not that i am oh so brilliant or anything...I just love the look on their stupid faces...lol...but that is not playing the ego stroke game very well, is it? But Kiki it is harder work to find the guys that get it....I talk to you, dance for you, you give me money. Period. No hotel room, no sex in the vip room explainations etc...

Even if i take a break for a few days it feels like i'm starting all over again but the nerves slowly go away.

    My how far we've come...

yup, the 'good old days' ... if even 1/2 of the 'golden era' club vibe was still in existance, I would still be dancing full time !

I have to mention though that these recent trends (i.e. your anorexic youngster example) are usually localized.

YES they are. Sometimes it's even club-specific.

Absolutely club specific, which is why I always avoid the club where "AAAALLLL the hot girls work"

Especially if it was some 21 year old douchebag that told me that "aaaallll the hot girls work at Club XYZ."

I'm sorry ladies but some of this "nostalgia nonsense" wears me out. When exactly was this mystical, magical "Golden Age" in the skin biz ? The 80's ?
The early 90's ? Yeah , but there weren't as many high end clubs as there are now. It wasn't that long ago that Vegas didn't have ANY really high end clubs.
Now there's Rhino, Scores , Sapphire etc.
Yes, yes the extras shifted from being done outside the clubs to inside starting in the late 90's. They were ALWAYS available from the "right" dancer for the "right" price but time was when it involved hooking up privately OUTSIDE the club. When it was Stringfellows sometimes 1/3 of the dancers were escorting on the side. Same for the OLD Goldfinger's in Queens and Scores ALWAYS had a few. Unless of course you want to include some (usually) seedy back rooms where the bachelor parties went down. Literally !

In a nutshell , what happened were high house fees and tip-outs generating pressure to EARN leading some to offer extras in-house increasing custy expectations on dancers as a whole leading to the current state of affairs. So that today a proudly "clean" club like Cheetah's in NYC is an empty joke.

Guys willing to pay for dancers to just sit and talk with them is a fairly recent
phenomenon too. It went along with the high house fees and tip-outs. A dancer's time is her stock and trade etc.
