    Default Arrested Development

I really like this show. I watch the reruns all the time. I'm sad it was cancelled. WHY do all the genius shows get cancelled???

The genius shows get cancelled because they're genius shows. The vast majority of Americans aren't interested in anything witty, clever, or even remotely intelligent. "Arrested Development" was all three, so of course it was doomed. Fortunately I own all three seasons on DVD.

Almost all of my favorite shows only had a season or two. Mission Hill, Undergrads, Clone High...all genious animated shows, all had only one season as far as I know. But like Yek said, things that are witty, clever or intelligent don't tend to last long.

    *joins you in mourning*

I'm with you on Arrested Development. Highfive to Snowles on Clone High! And then there's Freaks & Geeks and Firefly, two of the most tragic early deaths ever. *rends garments* At least Arrested Development got more than ONE SEASON.

Sounds like it took the exact same path to demise as Veronica Mars...

Oh, BTW, I have ridden on Gob's Segway. I was working on a Fox pilot back in the spring, and we were piling a bunch of equipment in a storage room that happened to be full of old "Arrested Development" props... I saw the Segway and lit up, and the guys let me ride around on it. It still said "GOB" on the front. Totally awesome moment, wish I had a pic.

Have you ever seen what is considered "average intelligence"? It's not very smart. That's your reason - most people just don't get it.

Great show! And Jason Batemen became quite dreamy. I couldn't believe they cancelled it. See why I rarely watch tv and don't get cable?

Why do witty shows like AD get cancelled? For the same reason that crappy ones like "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Baywatch" run for as long as they did.

I don't have tv, but recently found out about this show. I am addicted! My best friend borrowed the DVDs from someone. We can't stop!

I have to agree with you there. Though it does seem shows on the cable networks (HBO, Showtime and F/X in particular) seem to have higher standards and are generally better.

Most network TV does suck ballllzzzzzzz.

it was great and sooo funny...they still play re-runs on the CBC.

And I find HBO ends a lot of good shows too. I really miss Deadwood.

I really enjoy, "Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia" and it is filmed in a similar way as "Arrested Development".

If I can find "Arrested Development on "HULU" then I'm going to try to watch it. I Love Jason Bateman.
