    Washer/dryers

Anyone know anything about the washer/dryer combos that use condensers to dry the clothes? I'm looking into a Haier combo unit. I know I'll have to use smaller loads, and such, and that it takes longer. But I want some actual feedback beyond that. Reviews, brands, etc. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I've installed a few with an IP support backend.

I know someone's friend has one too, he's a big scooby fan

REALLY though, they'll get better, but keep in mind that they are a BITCH to fix/expensive. They save a lot of space, but the convenience is really, at a loss. If you're not doing much laundry, you're probably fine.

I know a few of luxury types that complain mostly about how much of a benefit it was to get 2 or 3 loads of laundry WASHED while the dryer dried, leading some to buy 2 and one person to buy 3 combos just to handle the load and to be on the forefront.

However I can see the benefit to them if you're doing laundry for 1 ya know?

We had a Thor Washer/Dryer combo. I really liked it. It wasn't enough to do all of our loads of laundry...but since we lived in a condo and I had to go to the laundromat, it really helped when Makayla was a baby and spitting up (and all that). I could wash her stuff immediately instead of trying to stain treat it and then hope it came out when I hit the laundromat.

When we moved to our house, we didn't need it anymore, although I had Joe hook it up in the garage and use it to throw all of his dirty, nasty fishing gear into it. We did that for a while and then decided to sell it.

It's great for little spaces...and it's great that you can attach it to a 'permanent' water line OR you can get the portable attachment which you can hook it up to your sink.

I loved my Thor. It is pricey, but if you are small on space and only washing for 1, it would probably work fine.

It does take some getting used to. Sometimes after the dry cycle, when you take the clothes out, they still feel damp (they are) just hang them up from the shower rod (on hangers or whatnot) and they'll be dry completely in a few minutes.
