    Default Normal Weight Fluctuation?

    Last week I weighed myself and I was at 171. That's generally where my weight has been staying at the past couple months. I was on my period, but it still never changes much.

    Well today I went and weighed myself for the fun of it. Period is over.

    164. Huh?

    Is this normal? I've never had such a quick and vast fluctuation, usually only 2-3 pounds. Yesterday I barely ate anything because I was sick, but other than that admittedly I am doing no exercise and eating like crap. Is this me losing water weight or....what?

    I always weigh the least right after my period. 8 pounds is a pretty typical monthly fluctuation for me, so I don't think you're out of the norm at all.

    you burn more calories when you're on your period.

    Wow, really? I didn't know that. I've never observed such a fluctuation before.

    yup. something to do with your body temp being higher at that time.

    Although ^ that may be true...chances are you are dehydrated.

    I always lose hella weight on my period. Of course, I gain hella weight just before it.

    This feels like a losing battle. One minute I am so hydrated that my pee is clear, the next I'm dehydrated again...

    Maybe you've lost some muscle, which ways more than fat. IDK, but sometimes I think that's what's happened w/ me when I'll notice that I'm a few pounds lighter but haven't gotten a chance to exercise. I used to gain & then lose 5lbs while on my period, but I don't anymore. So I guess it could just be that.
