Default Office Co-worker - Safe To Tell?

They say that you shouldn't tell anyone outside of the club that you work in a strip club.

Have any of you actually used it as an advantage to bring them into your club to spend on you? Oh and not just those who have a little cash on hand. I'm talking big bucks. Those who have such high positions within a company, and you know they make 6 figures easily.

No, I haven't done it. There was an incident that happened when I was a newbie. I worked at a club, yet I also worked another non-dancing job. One of the girls who knew I was a stripper told a few executives that I danced at this club. Well, one day - surprise surprise. One of the executives shows up at my club, totally unexpected. I was quite embarassed. He spent a lot on me and tipped me well. I quit working at this club shortly after that, for fear of others that I know showing up.

It never ocurred to me that I should have used it to my advantage.

Now that I'm working in an office again, the idea of inviting an executive (who is known to spend big bucks at strip clubs) to the club has been quite tempting. Don't worry. I haven't done so yet. Still debating whether it will be worth it, or if it could blow up into a bad situation later down the line.

    Any thoughts on this ladies?

If you value your day job, don't tell. But if you happen to see Mr. Moneybags at the club you might play the, "OMG I'm so embarassed you caught me here," wink wink, game.

Yep...I have to agree. Unfortunately we live in a society where stripping isn't "acceptable."

Should Mr. Moneybags happen to come in, use it to your advantage...but I wouldn't advertise. And fact of the matter is if it gets out in your office it will be discussed...period, and it could potentially very negatively impact your job, the future of your job at that particular company, as well as potential future job opportunities.

Quoted for truth. NOBODY knows at my current job. You have to take into consideration that this information might not be kept secret from other females in your company. And, while the guys may not mind, you're setting yourself up for a witch hunt.

Every pat on the back, promotion or raise would be suspect because you're a stripper and probably slept your way to the top.

And yes, I'm speaking from experience. I didn't tell them, but some execs happened to visit the club.

Lesson to be learned: Do not strip near your day job unless you want to risk it.

I hate that if you got caught by a big wig at your job that you'd be in trouble for stripping, and they wouldn't be in trouble for being there!

You and me both. Now, if they were paying me what I was really worth at my day job, I wouldn't have had to BE at the stripclub.

At least I was doing it to support my family, what's THEIR excuse? And why don't these little bitches who work in offices realize that the "Well, boys will be boys" attitude is the very reason that we get paid less in the first place!!!

Nobody at my current job even know that I use to strip...and they never will (well, in as much as I can control it anyway).

My day job was the very reason that I was more than happy to drive an hour each way to get to a club where I wouldn't run the risk of bumping into anyone I work with. While the drive was a pain (especially at 4 a.m.) it was worth it in the long run.

The fact that he is known to spend big bucks at strip clubs shows you that he cannot keep a secret.
Don't do it. You don't know enough about this guy's character to be sure it wouldn't bite you in the butt to tell him.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I won't tell.

Andygirl: I really don't value my day job all that much (due to stress, being over-worked, under-paid and not being appreciated). I day-dream half the day about quitting or being fired.
But due to the fact that my income solely relies on this job (at least until I start dancing again), that wouldn't be a good thing. *sigh*

Passenger: "Unfortunately we live in a society where stripping isn't acceptable."
I totally know what you mean. Pretty sad.

ViolaStrings: "I hate that if you got caught by a big wig at your job that you'd be in trouble for stripping, and they wouldn't be in trouble for being there!"
Yeah, I know. So not fair!

Genevive: "The fact that he is known to spend big bucks at strip clubs shows you that he cannot keep a secret."
Well, it was actually Mr. Moneybags himself that was commenting on this subject. When I said that he is known to spend money at the clubs, I meant that it was known by me... from him. LOL. Sorry, I should have clarified. Regardless, it would've been a stupid move on my part.

DylanAngel: See, I think I fucked up already. I confided in one of the females at work not too long ago. This is someone who I felt comfortable confiding in. Someone I thought who would understand me, although we're two very different people. She made a comment to me yesterday about Mr. Moneybags hitting on me in the office. She couldn't fathom why he called me into his office to chat (work and non-work related stuff). So, she said "maybe it's because you look slutty! Maybe you give off a slutty vibe." I said "uh, excuse me? I look slutty? You've got to be kidding me!" She says "yeah, haha... I'm just joking..."

I do NOT look slutty! Especially in the office. No way, no how.
(I was wearing a pair of grey straight legged pants with black boots, and a long sleeve sweater. WTF!

Sorry for the rant. Just had to get that out.

Yeah, haha, that stupid bitch is not joking. Civilian women are HATERS, plain and simple. And they will act so damn cool with you when you tell them, but watch that gossip travel faster than lightning. If you had never told her that you used to dance, she wouldn't have said anything about you giving off a slutty vibe. I'm getting mad just thinking about it.

When I first started stripping, I invited 2 colleagues from my dayjob over to see m But it was a university job, and the department was closing down. Plus I was going to graduate soon. We were all students and spent most of our time st the office giving each other massages and downloading porn (still had modems at home, lol!)

But I wouldn't have invited anyone that could hurt my career or reputation.

One other important thing to consider is that even if you tell him you dance, and invite him to see you...he might not find you attractive and won't be interested.

Then, your secret's out and you might be embarrassed, at best...

And how long is Mr. Moneybags garunteed to be mr. moneybags?
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.
