Default OK, so I thought about it and instead of a piercing

    I'm gonna get colored contacts.

Not sure if I should do green or grey, though. Anyone here Indian or Indian skin toned (or no anybody that is the afformentioned) that could give me some tips or pics of green and grey colored contacts in?

I'm thinking of going green, 'cos many of us have green eyes anyway. Though I TOTALLY GOT SKIPPED ON THAT GENETIC PHENOTYPE, GEE THANKS, LIFE!

Green eyes are so beautiful! I wish I had 'em.

For my senior prom I wore violet contacts. They were really pretty with my coloring... my eyes are normally blue so it was a very subtle difference, but I loved it!

I think colored contacts would be nice but i don't understand why they would be 'instead of' a piercing?

Just make sure you get some that will actually show up. I've bought blue contacts to change my hazel eyes before & they didn't look different at all.

austinatalie- 'cos it's an external change to my appearance. I decided I don't want a hole in my belly when i get sick of the piercing. I think they're bautiful, but I just don't really know if it's very "me."

danielle- what brand did you use? I'm going to get the freshlook colorblend in green. I have very dark eyes, but I hear this brand is really good and very natural.

How dark is 'dark'? My sister has medium colored brown eyes and when she wears blue or green it is very obvious that she is wearing colored lenses. She can wear hazel or other darker colors and they look nice and not totally fake.

Hey gingerlee! Here's my face and some contact color options from that makeover thing on ivillage. I did it with a plain face, but used the eyeliner and charcoal eyeshadow option. shit is HILARIOUS.

Anyway, based on these pictures, I think green or the grey/blue (bottom right) would be the best. Let me know what y'all think.

I've used Freshlook Colorblends for years. They have different types of greens and one gray I think and they cover dark eyes really well. I would consider blue if I were you too.

I know! I was wondering why on EARTH they would have fully roundd contacts when nobody has their full iris showing in pictures. scary times, but eh, at least I still get an idea of what the different colors would look like, I guess.

I looked at them & they're Freshlook, but they aren't called Colorblend & someone else said they had a positive experience w/ that brand, so maybe they'll work well for you. I had to get them in a prescription, so maybe that's why.

    thanks, Lexi.

yeah, I don't plan to wear these contacts everyday- just for fun when i go out or something. sometimes you just want to get away from yourself, you know?

I would do the whole trial pair thing, but they would probably charge me for a "fitting," which is lame because I JUST got fitted for my regular contacts (my eyes suck.)

I think the green would look fine, though, 'cos a lot of south indians have green eyes. i dunno, I wish they had a variety pack!
