    Thumbs down The Stitch...EEEKKKK!

Okay so I am 6 weeks post op from a breast job. Everything is o.k. but my right incision ( besides being wider and different than the other) had a "stitch"surface. Aparrently the inside stitches can surface where they tie them and make what I thought was an infection, but is really a pool of goo. So I went to the E.R. that night thinking it was an infection,(bruised area sore, fluids) and the next day at the plastic surgeon it was a stitch that surfaced but dissolved. They cut open the sac and now its a dent thats healing. WTF, anyone have this happen? (BTW its only about the size of a pencil end but still....i feel ugly its wide and the dent.....)

What did your doctor say about caring for the scar? I know that massaging over a lumpy scar with your fingers can help break it up and flatten it out. BioOil is a good product for scars, and the oil really keeps things smooth while you massage. Also, Kelio-cote is a good product to apply over the scar to keep it clean and protected from friction, dirt and bacteria while you dance. I noticed that my scars were red and irritated after my first few nights back to dancing. The kelio-cote creates a barrier so that doesn't happen. They've been good and healing normally since I started using that stuff.

In your case, I think you should get the doc's advice before you do anything. Especially if there is still any open wound you should wait before you apply any products.
