Default Anyone Looking For a Roommate in Manhattan?

Hey guys, I've been looking on craigslist for about a month now and haven't had much luck.....a lot of the people there are looking for "professionals with a 9-5 work schedule", which is pretty much the exact OPPOSITE of me (thankfully). I might as well try SW and see if anyone here is looking for a roommate or knows someone who is....Maybe some of you girls are thinking about moving to the city and would want to apartment hunt together?

I can get into the specifics of the areas I'd like to move to or how awesome of a roommate I would be, if anyone is interested...please let me know! Looking to move asap.

this is where a regional sub-forum would be helpful (as mentioned in a recent thread).

but how about checking/placing reverse ads in local places (e.g. laundromats, markets, bookstoresetc.) in the area you're aiming for? true, you'll get crazies but that's basically craigslist anyway imo.

bartenders, waitresses, flight attendants are also good alternative possibilities (i.e. not 'typical 9-5' schedules). hth

If I was a 9-5er Id love a stripper as a roommate. Means Id never have to see them seeing as Im at work when theyre home and vice-verse. Sorry I cant be much help tho.

If you're already in the city, try going to dance studios and post on the bulletin boards.

Or go to other places (coffee shops, laundry mats, etc) you feel comfortable in that have bulletin boards.
