Default spending customers in specific seats

I work in a small bar type of club. There are a limited number of seats and often they are taken later on in the night, especially on weekends. But I find that the customers who usually say "yes" to me are almost always in a specific seat in the club! There isn't anything really special about the chair itself, nor is there anything that great about the location. The spots aren't near the stage or at the bar.
Why is this? I'm thinking I shouldn't question it, just go with it but do you think it's true that spending customers are drawn toward specific spots in your club also?

It sounds pretty crazy, but I know that there are seats in my club that are the cheap bastard seats. They're the tables nearest the rack, but off in the corner. It's like they're trying to hide from you, but still get their free show. Also the seats that are farthest back from the stages in the back, they usually want to be left alone.

I still try to sell them, because you never know.

i've worked in HEAPS of clubs in my time and i can definately tell you that this is actually true! there does seem to be specific seats/tables/spots in each club which attract the spenders and other specific seats/tables/spots that attract the asshats.

usually for me anyone at my home club that is RIGHT against the back wall (instead of at the tables) are not interested as their body language is usually all the same.. they are there because of the 'security' of the back wall and wanting to be able to see everything whilst not being 'amongst' it all as such.. if you get me?

See, at my club, that is where I try to hustle. For me, the guys who are hiding out in a corner are the most lonely. They come with money to spend, and usually the first girl to approach them is the "winner"

Not at mine because the doorguy seats the customers. They get what they get unless they are at the bar or tiprail. Other than that they dont get to choose and get in trouble if they try to move to another place.

Get in trouble? Man, that is so strange!

Yup. Its a big club. They fill the club a certain way. Start in front - work towards the back. Its to avoid opening the 4 satellite stages until needed. All tables have 'reserved' signs on them and when someone is seated the sign is removed. The good thing is how its filled - makes it easy to work because people arent all spread out or lurking in the shadows alone...

They fill people in front first - at main stage

Then by satellite 1 - then 2 - then 3 and finally if its really full satellite 4 (which is rare because its in an odd spot) It works but people try to move and the club loses its flow...

Well that makes a little more sense now, Audrey. I guess it also means more money for you if they "make" the customers become more involved. I went to a club where the door hostess automatically seated a friend and I at the stage, so of course we were going to tip. After a while we moved back, but it sure does send a message to the club patrons when you put them somewhere specifically.

This club I visit occasionally definitely has cheap seats! They're worth going to sometimes because some of the people who sit there are just shy and have actually brought money. Most aren't worth the bother though.

In the club I usually work at there's no such thing, unfortunately. You have to look at the custy combined with the seat because the same seats attract the spenders and the asshats. You never know! At our club it's not mandatory to tip when on the tip rail (sucks) so actually a lot of idiots just seat their butts where they can see the most for the smallest amount of money possible, ie, the tiprail. Then some guys seat themselves to the corner because they'd rather chat than watch the shows (and they pay you well for it). It's really annoying not being able to tell.

I've noticed that "CB's" tend to sit next to "BT's" at stageside seats. That's when I start to buy dances, or move to another stageside seat.

AL- You probably won't find me in WO on my next Reno visit- don't like 'assigned seating". If stage seat opens up, I want to be able to move to it, not be stuck in back row just because I happened to wander in late. I also don't like crammed in feeling, club should open up other stages to give customer the feeling of being in an emporium, not crammed into a Greyhound Bus.

The seats farthest from the stage are often good ones because the guys who sit there aren't there for the free show, they would rather make conversation and get dances. Guys who sit directly in front of the door are usually cheap. It's as if they're already trying to escape the club

I agree with this. Cheapies like to be up close, but towards the corner so if you're up at the front of the stage, you don't really see them (you do, but they think they're invisible). That's my theory anyways. I don't have a theory on customers with money, except my theory that I'd be super happy if they would wear signs.

You can sit at the stage anytime... you get your table reserved seating but if you want to go to the tip rail you can go anytime. They dont 'seat' people at the main stage... the only people up there are people who want to go up there. The good thing about the reserved seating is if you get up to go to the tip rail you still have your table seat when youre done at the stage or you can sit at the bar and go up to the stage as you like. You dont HAVE to stay at a table in the back of the room.

BUT there are FIVE stages..... so EVERY table has a stage by it.... there is seating around stages 2-5 that youd have to be seated at but theres a stage every 10 feet or so at the club. Not to forget the main stage (mentioned above) that you can sit at anytime.

I guess youd have to go to get it. But youre never far from a stage and youre not STUCK at a table... you can go to bar/main stage... and like I said there are many stages in the middle and back of the room... theyre just smaller satellite stages.

Dont knock it unless you know all the details.

yea but ya still cant move around. like, you cannot move from your table to a table by a satellite stage (even tho its a stage) - only main stage. AND at this club - no one ever goes to the stage... its weird but no one cares about the stages...

How long would staff tolerate you being gone from table to sit @ tip rail or VIP?? Doesn't seem like optimum use of capacity on peak nights- having folks standing outside while insider is getting lapdance (or trying to tip stage dancer for 5-10 minutes to get her attention for future VIP) while table is open.

As a custy, I'd feel more positive with 2 stage areas 50% full than only 1 stage area 100% full.
I didn't mean to :flame: WO, per se, as much as I did the idea of assigned seating, and the club dynamics stemming from it. I've been to my share of 'em- a very small minority of total visits, but enough to form an opinion. Granted, most of my negative experiences in AS clubs were on crowded peak nights(lost seat when I got LD, etc), but uncrowded night (Paradise Club, Vegas) still conveyed a certain snootiness that contrasted sharply with more free flowing atmosphere @ OG( with equally hot/attractive dancers). Not to write a novel here... Thanks for reply, I may give WO a try (hopefully not too crowded hr)- will shoot you a pm for more focussed info..../minnow

Believe me - there is PLENTY of room... the turnover is high. Yea, if youre in Lounge for an hour youll lose your seat but guys typically leave after the lounge... or hang at the bar and then leave. But if you want a seat the host will get you one and if you ask to sit by say stage 4 because its not crowded theyll seat you there. Theyre not a**es about it like some clubs with assigned seating.

That makes it sound as if people were seated at stage 1st.
Again - its a bigger club - I mean at the tables/chairs by main stage - not the chairs AT the stage.

Ima go look for some pictures of the club...
