    Default OMG!!!!! The Pain is the worst!!!!

    Hi girls............I really need your help now if I've never needed it before! I worked lastnight and I learned a few pole tricks, so you know I was working that damn thing! So, when I left work I noticed a cramped feeling in my left knee.....It wasn't that bad just a little irritating........I finally go to bed and the feeling just got outta hand........Both of my knees started hurting and it really hurts to bend them, It is so painful that i couldn't sleep lastnight. They don't look swollen they just hurt like hell and I've gotta work tonight.......All the girls have told me to dance through it, but I can't! Is there any medicene you know of or advice you girls could give me to help me out?

    Rub a little Deep Heat over your knees which should help alleviate the pain for now.

    But you really should get them checked out by a doctor asap just in case you've torn a tendon or something.. which could then lead onto more serious problems.

    Where can I get deep heat at! Might I add that, they only hurt when I'm bending them! Once my feet are flat they are fine! So, I could do a lapdance........It would just hurt like hell to get up!

    i'm having this same problem today... i finally learned how to flip upside down on the pole, and now i can hardly lift my arms or bend my legs.

    most likely, you just used muscles you haven't used in awhile. it kind of worries me that they're swollen and you couldn't even sleep- i don't usually feel the pain until i wake up in the morning. so yeah you might want to check with a doctor... my best friend is advil lately, advil and a warm bath.

    Take a hot bath with Epsom salts. It's the best thing for sore muscles. Since they're not swollen and it's both knees, I doubt you've done any major damage... you just found muscles you never knew you had. Keep doing the same moves and it'll get better as those muscles get stronger.

    Toss back a chemical cocktail of ibu and a multivitamin and soak in Epsom salts. What you described is why I only worked 1 night a week my first 4 weeks. It does get better, you just need to keep your body up (make sure you have enough iron) and bear through it.

    Default Stretch at the beginning and end of your work night

    I cant find any pictures this second, but you may be able to. Google for STRETCHING specifically for knees and hips.

    A fitness instructor showed me some good dancer-specific stretches years ago, when I first started getting severe knee and shin pain. I swear by stretching now and rarely ever get painful injuries. Stretch before and after your work night. Don't bounce when you stretch either. If you can, find a fitness instructor to show you how to stretch at least once.
