Default I need your help boyz!!!!

I'm black and very nervous! I work in a white club and I am so new to this kind of club! I thought it would have been the music that would give me the most problems! I have adjusted to the music really quick, however, I just don't know how to approach a white man! I am really intimidated by them! How do i break the ice and make sales guys?

"Hi, I'm Pecan. Would you like a dance?"

    Yup, it is that simple.

Now if you don't want to ask this question of every guy in the club, when you do your stage work, pay attention to the guys that are paying attention to you. Scan the audience. SMILE to it. Don't dance up on stage in your own little world. And pay attention to not necessarily the guys sitting ringside but those out at the tables. Memorize the faces and their locations of the ones that are watching you intensely. Even better is the guys that were at the tables that move to the stage when you come on. Then right after your stage, race back to the dressing room, throw your stage stuff into your locker (be sure to lock it), towel off your sweat, quickly freshen your make-up, and get out to those faces. When you walk up these faces, smile and say...

"Hi, I'm Pecan. Would you like a dance?"

They say "yes" and give them a great lap dance. You'll know if they like it. They like it and you either ask "Like another dance?" or, if they seem to like it a LOT, you ask "Like to go to the VIP room?".

There are many white guys that love black women. Hell, I'm one of them. So keep an eye out for our eyes lusting after you. Good luck!

I don't think it really has to be that different. How would you approach a black man?

We come to the club to see you, just come on over, you are in charge, we decide.

Why are you intimidated by white guys? Be specific, write out a list. Explain each thing, just quietly going over each one you can get past them.

Be yourself, take risks, let your inner seductress out.

Its the SC after all, you can be all you can be... in the sc! hee hee

Really just do whatever you feel like, take charge whatever, really let out whatever it is you normally hold back, we will dig it, I promise.

Everything mentioned above is true, but I will add something else.

There's nothing more disappointing than when a really hot chick approaches me in the club, and ghetto-speak comes out of her mouth--I can't understand what you're saying, and it kills any interest I might have had prior. While this is a good idea irrespective of the dancer's racial makeup, it just seems more common with black girls.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I suppose racism may be a bigger problem in NC than where I live in Chicago, but you should be able to tell on stage which customers are enjoying your appearance and dancing. Focus on those obvious prospects first, as you would in a black club.

The patrons with confederate flags on their clothing might be a little harder to please...

Race is not an issue for me when selecting a dancer.

There are black dancers that I think are beautiful and I have bought dances from them. There are other black dancers that I do not find as attractive, and I have not bought dances form them.

Now, granted, there are some guys who will buy a dance from you just because you are black, and others who won't for the same reason. I'm not sure how you can identify them by sight.

I think you should stop worrying about race and watch for which customers are looking at you with a happy smile on their faces as you dance. If I'm in the club and I think you are cute, you won't have to ask me for a dance--I'll ask you.

Hey now, don't knock it..those are some of my bigger spending custies

Pecan, approach all customers the same. I sell myself as a sexy, hot, sophisticated dancer who loves pleasing a man, and enticing all his senses. Don't sell your color/race..sell the fantasy and the good time you will bring them.

All comments about really feeling and reading the crowd as much as possible are true. If guys are giving hints about their interest, it is yours to win and take. I will turn away most girls point blank straight away if I am not interested, and shockingly hot girls that act fake turn me off, but silky smooth with the right looks and more importantly style to match is another matter. Maybe someone wants dirty and you come in sweet, you gotta be able to change your approach in a sec. ** and no fake - fake sucks no matter what approach **

EX, I had a dancer tell me she was from one of the more upscale hoods in the are in the most stupid fake British/hoity toity accent ever. It was horrible. I was thinking 'are you for real????' I did my best and didn't laugh or rip on her but it was so dumb. I watched her a little and she was making $0.00.

You can max out your looks, but you can really max out your game. Be incredibly captivating, alluring, sensual - get tuned into the style and conversation of the guest ...

    Ethnicity
It makes you unique and special. Don't even think it makes you any different. Guests will either have preferences and there is little one can do if they are not into a certain ethnicity.

    Body
Again, guests are going to have their preferences forged over years and years - you can't change it. For example, I am a big all natural guy. So if you are rocking 'dubs' you are probably automatically less attractive to me. Or bad tattoos, hair color, etc.

    Dress
I never understand why some go for wild themes. I suggest dressing to be ultra attractive to the majority of guests. To me, that means Victoria Secret, Betsey Johnson type stuff as a baseline always. Even some of the Playboy stuff is looking pretty good these days. I know girls who wear the same colors/sets of stuff all of the time, but it is high quality and it shows. It makes them look like they make a lot of money (which they do) because they are worth it (and I am not talking about mileage/extras, etc.). Accessories must rock. I see some girls with the stupidessssss purses or jewelry. Try a simple LV, Gucci, Dior, etc. one - high end - not some stupid clear box where you can see everything you are carrying. WTF is up with that??? If you wear great shoes otc, then find great itc platforms. Like this means no flashing lights when you walk like some 5 year old wears.

    Hair/Makeup
Again, go with a great look that is not too crazy. If you go runway model look that is great but a little out there only a small percentage of guests who are into fashion will get it or even like it. Take the Sephora catalogs these days - the looks rock, but that is for some 'Eyes Wide Shut' type party so maybe you can get some ideas that but more from fashion mags and tone it down 80% or skip it altogether. Glitter, done in a subtle way kicks but maybe all the married/cheating/daytime guests would not like it... What are stylists like Jay Manuel suggesting?

    Music
The owner of one club I go to joked 'he likes certain girls because of their music' well, c'mon it is a little true. There is a reason why so much rap/hip hop has been launched out of SCs and for dancers. There are dancers that constantly play great shit - many genres - there are some that play terrible music that does not mesh well with the city/club/guests - many dancers from Europe/Russia have different tastes from what is popular over here and they stick with it for some reason.

    Team Up
Learn from the best of the best in your club. There is enough down time right??? Befriend them and help them a little and I imagine they will help you too. When things are rough, try teaming up with another dancer and hustling guys for two at once. That makes it easier because it is not all on you.

Bottom line - you create your itc image, but the more savvy/stylish you are otc, the better odds you can put your itc game together.
