I need an ICEBREAKER!!
I'm black and very nervous! I work in a white club and I am so new to this kind of club! I thought it would have been the music that would give me the most problems! I have adjusted to the music really quick, however, I just don't know how to approach a white man! I am really intimidated by them! How do i break the ice and make sales girls?

Re: I need an ICEBREAKER!!
i usually sit down and ask their name, if they live near the club, what they do for work, then comment on something that's happening in the club- usually my DJ is doing something ridiculous so i make fun of him for a few moments. i do this for white guys, black guys, hispanic guys, old guys, young guys, whatever.
don't get intimidated by their skin color- men are men.

exactly! ^
but there is a girl in my club who'll ask white guys if they'd like to try some hot chocolate! she say's it w/ a great viberant sense of humor and has a big personality, and it works really well for her.

Re: I need an ICEBREAKER!!
I guess I'm naive, because I really didn't think of clubs as black ones and white ones. And for me, the color of the dancer doesn't matter one bit. I've had dances from white, black, asian, indian, native american, whatever.
I like the hot chocolate line, though. ANY good line/icebreaker is a good way to start a conversation, regardless of color.

Re: I need an ICEBREAKER!!
i dont know how you normally approach guys but try this: say hi, ask them how their night is going, smile.... if you dont know what to talk to them about or they arent very conversational get straight to the point. you dont want to sit there in akward silence at all, acknowledging the fact that you are strangers/there is a cultural divide....ask them if they see anything they like, referring to the club. that is a great way to get the conversation moved to the subject we all know is most important.
usually guys bite at this. they want to share their opinion on the titty bar, its like this basic male urge. so they will tell you who they are feeling. sometimes they "just got here" and dont know. sometimes they like you, sometimes it's that other girl. if a guy pointed at one of my buddies and said "i like her" i'd go "oh! do you want a dance?? i'll go get her for you IF YOU WANT A DANCE." i wouldn't go get her if he was just going to waste her time. at this point their foot is kind of in the door already about a dance without you asking "do you want a tabledance." SNEAKY SALES TACTIC. (i only danced for 7mos and had some real ups and downs, so i don't claim to be an expert but this has worked for me to sell dances... either for myself or other girls or both) -- edited: i guess technically you ARE saying "do you want a dance" but it's not out of the clear blue sky, the issue has already been breached and it's the next natural step after they say who they dig. if its you, your next line should be "i bet you'd really like me half-naked on your lap, huh?" or something like that.
so they either say, "yes that would be GREAT! thank you so much" because most guys are a little intimidated go up to a dancer who is alone OR they are like "well actually i'd like to talk to you ....." or they go "no no no i dont want a dance" and you can be like oh okay well have a good night, im gonna go get something to drink, see ya, and go get a drink or move on to the next guy or whatever. you have to keep movin.
this may not seem like the best sales technique (because you "give away" customers sometimes) but the reason i did it, is it helped me to get to the point & if the point was "not you" it didnt feel like rejection it felt like now i had a mission..matchmaker. you walk across the room, check out the crowd, cozy up to another hot stripper, whisper in her ear -- people will watch you do this -- and then deliver her to her admirer. then you can have a satisfied look on your face, mission accomplished, and move on to the next guy. maybe one of the ones who caught your eye while you were walking back and forth across the club.
good luck....
