Stop eating junk and add exercise to your regmien. The only real way to lose weight is to take in fewer calories than you are burning.

Agreed. And by the post title I was expecting like... a 50-100lb gain... 20 isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things.

you could try doing a colon cleanse to get started.
start drinking tons of water and nothing else (except maybe some herbal teas).
find an exercise you like to do, and that you will stick with.
from a nutritional standpoint it is only safe to lose between .5-2 pounds per week. usually any more than that is water weight and will come right back
Be patient with yourself.
If you lose too fast, you can get stretch marks and loose, wrinkly skin on your boobs and thighs. That stuff is way harder to fix than excess weight.
Set your goals low and long-term for the healthiest, most permanent weight loss.


As tempted as you might be to crash diet, don't.
Every time I crash dieted, I regretted it..the pounds came lumping back on. It killsl your metabolism.
get a gym membership. Count your calories. Take tonalin CLA and essential fatty acids. Eat BALANCED (all food groups) meals, whole grains, whole fruit, milk etc. Multivitamins. Get a calorie calculator to see how much you need per day. Loose the weight through pure exercise. i've found i'd get irritable if I tried teh reduced-calorie diets.
Search some of the old threads on loosingweight, you might find some good info there.
Exercise 1 hour a day...cardio and toning stuff like yoga and pilates. Don't forget to stretch. It takes effort, but hopefully you can find it to be more fun by plugging in your cd player, listening to music, reading a magainze while on a machine.
Also, try cutting out picture from magazines of women's bodies that inspire you. That can be a good motivation. Also, having more mirrors in your room helps you be more conscious of the way you look. Maybe even have a mirror in the kitchen.





An immediate deficit of 500-600 calories of your current intake. Get a food scale if you have to. Cut that junk food right away. Refined carbs- bye bye too. Any meal with more than 10mg of fat say no no. Meals with more than 30 carbs (not including fiber) are off the menu from now on. These are just basic things that help me get back on track. Also, learning how to read food labels helps alot. Not just this item has 210 calories and 8 grams of fat ..really taking the time to know what they mean is such an eye opener.
There is no magic 10 lb weight loss (unless you might prefer Alli which cause warm uncontrollable grease shits from eating too much fat in one meal) exercise, drug, or crash diet. Working out and eating well are the best things one can do to lose weight.
