I think you could get hired just about anywhere because there seems to be a shortage of black dancers. We have 2 at Bourbon Street and they bank. Customers are always asking why we dont have more "color." I would try Bourbon, Hiliter (day shift rocks ) and Christies Phx...also Bombshells is a cute little spot and I know they have a couple black girls . There's also Skin, but it's in Scottsdale.
Good luck girl![]()
Thanks so much for the info.
My most recent clubs haven't had many black dancers, and as TwisterinAZ said most of them seem to do really well. I doubt you'll have a problem.

if they let her work. plenty of clubs are happy to keep 2-3 black girls on the roster, and not more than that. so of course the lucky handful bank due to enforced scarcity.
but all she can do is hit the club up to find out...

Band-Aids will hire you. I'm black and was "steered away" from Hi-Liter, which is under the same ownership, but hired at Band-Aids. Pantera, another club under the same ownership, is an urban club you could try also.
Christies in Tempe may hire you depending on their mood. I would try the day shift manager, as he is easier to deal with than the night shift one.
Try Sinn on 7th St and Indian School. That may be a go as well. Mustang Sallys on 35th Ave and Thomas will hire you, but the money is iffy there.
Middle aged white club managers and owners in big cities seem to not care about women of color, and could care less if their roster of all white girls makes their clubs appear prejudiced. They like their clubs full of all young, hard bodied white girls. There are a FEW exceptions of course, but that is why I travel to work in rural small clubs, where most of the clubs are happy to have reliable dancers period, regardless of age or race. I'm through with big city dancing.
Skin is pretty good about hiring black girls. I've seen 5+ on shift before and it's a small club. They will hire you as long as you are polished and they don't already have a lot of black girls that night. You might get turned away if a lot have already showed up.

Totally agreed with regard to Phoenix.
As far as Band-aids is concerned. They don't hire EVERY Black girl. I hear that Dale isn't there anymore, but when he wasHe only liked (or should I say budged) to hire to "ghetto" Black girls. I think the more polished types intimidated him.
Don't be discouraged or scared to try hi-liter. Just because one Black dancer didn't get hired there (no offense Tina) doesn't mean you can't, I did.
Whatever club hires Chocolate Bunny will prove to be the smart one. WOW! GREAT photo! Methinks it's time to schedule a trip to the Phoenix area this winter and visit a few clubs down there.
I started at BANDAIDS and agree... I've seen them turn away the overtly classy black girls in favor of some pretty ghetto ones! But I've gotta say, it's the black and Mexican girls who bank at that club, and since a lot of clubs racially discriminate, thats to Band-Aids credit for giving women of color a chance. Theres a lot of older white gals there too, all types really, but it's more of an 'urban' club than anything else.
I've posted here before about SINN. This place has a really seedy reputation, and when I worked there I saw firsthand the absolute nastiest shit being done (not even in v.i.p.). Not to mention a lot of the dancers were miserable drug adict types who brought their drama to the club, would get wasted on the floor, a lot of the customers expected waaay too much for a $10.00 dance and sometimes got forceful, etc. etc. etc. Management kept telling the girls they were trying to up the quality of the club, but didn't deliver for a long time, were too lax with the rules, and kept hiring/re-hiring ghetto/creepy dancers.
Then Tim from the HiLiter came to manage Sinn. Thank god!
They went on a big firing spree over the summer and got rid of most of their nasty dancers, and replaced them with some serious hotties! Theres still some not so attractive girls there, but I kinda like that, cuz I think too many 10's in one room makes a club too exclusive. Having hotties mixed in with plainer girls makes it a less intimidating atmosphere. Guys like variety anyway. Beauty is subjective.
Sinn still has a long ways to go, but as long as they stay on their current path, they may eventually be the classy club management wants it to be. I personally hope so, because I think it's in a good location - being just minutes north of downtown and all. It's not hard to get to, and theres plenty of parking.
I wouldn't recomend Sinn to vetern dancers who do well as high end clubs, but I'd recomend it as a place to start at. A lot of guys randomly drop in at Sinn, so you don't need regulars there. As long as you look good, they're newbie friendly and also women of color friendly.
Don't be afraid to try a higher end club either. Theres one black girl at Sinn who also works @ BOURBON STREET. I'd say shes in league with you looks wise, Chocolate Bunny, and she does very, very well at Bourbon. Bourbon is pretty much considered thee hardest club to get hired at in PHX, but with a little experience, a classy attitude, and a polished appearance, they'd probobly take you.
Unless you're well established in this biz, you can't expect to make a fortune dancing in PHX right now since it's been really slow at every club (and has been this way since May), but if it's what you really want to do then def. go for it! Best of luck to you.
Sorry bout the threadjack, but I'm asking here rather than starting a new thread...
Has Phx money gotten any better?? at all? I want to work for a week in Nov/Dec-ish.
Bliss also has black girls- and that club is really nice. I just checked it out yesterday, nice management, nice atmosphere, seems like there's potential to make money, also seems pretty clean. The only thing I don't like is their 5 hour minimum shift requirement. Some days- I just can't put in 5 hours and don't want to feel like an asshole if I bail out early. Other than that- seems like a cool place to try out.
Candy Store right now only has like one black girl- so you can try checking out Candy Store I'm sure they'd love to add on another black girl. The only reason we don't get many black girls is cause they only play rock music with a mix of the occasional pop song or techno. But not much for hip hop. So if you don't mind dancing to Korn- you could make some decent money at Candy Store (don't worry about the 5 dollar dance thing, almost all girls charge 10, and 20 in VIP).
I was just at Bourbon on Sunday, pretty slow in there, and the girls were not your typical Bourbon girls. But thats how that place is... weekend nights are full of Playboy girls.. but during the week and on Sunday day shift.. the kind of girls you see at any other club.
As for money in Phoenix.. I've only been dancing here since January.. so I don't know what money was like here the last few years (which I hear was much better than now)... BUT after working in Upstate NY, Phoenix has TONS of money LOL.
^^I meant in the past few months, has it gotten better since kids are back in school, summers over, etc?

LR,
I was actually making better money on the weekends during the summer.
'Nuff said?

The last few months? Well I'm a day girl (work nights only once or twice a week), early september was good, then went dead towards the end- and now is slowly picking up again.
I usually seem to make the same- whether dead or busy.. whether its making money off of 20 guys or only 4... it's *usually* consistent.. so it's hard to say.. hopefully someone can offer better insight![]()
I only work nights..its been MEH..struggling to make what was usually considered "ok".and sometimes not even making that. I personally haven't seen a dramatic change in income ..mostly just that i have to work alot harder for the same amount.
Now, i wasn't in AZ during summer but compared to late May (when i left) its about the same..if not a little bit harder even. Im crossing my fingers "in season" will come soon.
XoXo
Friend Me!
Yikes! Last May is when I left too. Bummer, I think I'm gonna pass.
May was a really tough month for me, and I pretty much stopped dancing in the summer. A lot of veteran dancers I know assured me things would pick back up in mid-September. Been dancing regularly since then and now they're telling me it was better in summer! I know I'm making less now than I did in May, and it's taking me longer to make it. As I've said on here before, right now I'm lucky to make in a day what I used to make in an hour.![]()
There isn't any magic club where the $ is good, it sucks everywhere right now. It's so bad that clubs who usually hire any girl in sight are actually turning girls away and even letting girls go, and Centerfolds even lowered their house fees. I'm noticing a HUGE decrease in spending customers, and also a change in customer behavior - they're spending less time (and therefore less $) in the club.
I don't think you can rely on Thursday-Saturdays anymore. The past 3 Fridays I worked were dead - with 5-8 (when it used to be standing room only) being the absolute slowest hours.![]()
As far as nights go, day shifts have been flooded with night girls, lets put it that way. And at the same time day girls are working into the night to compensate for the loss of income.
And they say it'll get worse around the holidays........![]()
I worked from 4-8 the other night and left with 57 bucks.. yay for phoenix! :/
Ok, worked 4-9 yesterday and left with 515.. thats better lol
Phoenix isn't *always* that bad lol

My take on current Phx economic conditions: locals=limited cash flow. The only people I notice that are spending money are out of town businessmen and vacationing golfers...which have not arrived in droves yet. Did any of you girls in the north part of the city get much business from that golf tournament?

K, first thing I HAVE to say, unless you are comfortable with LOTS of contact and all that comes with it, please avoid Bombshells. I'd normally never say something like that, but...fck it, there it is.
And you're beautiful if that is your pic, I'm pretty sure you'de be able to get in where ever you go!
Money wise. No, not seeing an improvement yet. At all. None.
We have been getting a higher ratio of out of towners than locals lately....but it's still hard to enoucourage them to part with their money these days. Oh as a heads up....
CCT is cleaning house. So if anyone were to want to come check it out, now would be a good time. Out with the old and in with the new and all that.

There HAVE been more Canadians due to the de-valuation of the US dollar.
