When working more days there are only so many I can work and on certain days/nights. Would you work a not so great shift just to make extra money or just work really hard on your regularly scheduled days?

you live like an ivy vine
you can only survive by clinging onto trees
that's your flaw

I would probably just work a "not so good" day. Sometimes those days can be surprisingly good. Although my boyfriend is forever telling me to work smarter and not harder. For some reason the pressure of "I have to work really hard and BANK on this shift or be screwed" is just too much pressure for me.
I work the not so great shifts...mainly because sometimes they tend to pay off big time. Otherwise, I consider it my 'free' day, so anything I make is 'extra' money. That takes the pressure off of me, I have more fun, and end up making more money even if it is a crappy day.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support

I look at my weekly totals not nightly.
If I'm down one week then I will work one or two more extra shifts or as well as stay longer on my already scheduled shifts the next to kind make up for it before returning to "normal" the next week.
In the end, I just try to make the most of the time I am supposed to be working.

I almost always make good money on Mondays and Wednesdays, which are probably not considered great nights. It doesn't matter what night of the week it is, I'm going to make decent money. It's probably more of an attitude thing than anything else.

Just work the same every day you work. You can't really say you'll work harder any one day over another. Approach everyone available and give it all you've got.
I agree with Tina, do your best every time. If you are too tired to go in then don't, but work as much as possible. Does that make sense?
