Default Plants come to my house to die

Ok, so I'm not the most responsible person in the world but I can keep animals alive. Why can't I keep plants alive?

I give it water, the leaves fall off. I cut back the watering it turns yellow. I put it in the sun it wilts, I put it in the shade it wilts.

Same thing with every goddamn plant. Leaves turn brown and fall off until there are none left. This one only has 2 1/2 leaves left. Please help, this is the second plant I killed this year.

I have the same problem. I finally have a bamboo plant that I have managed to keep alive for over a year, yay me! The only other plant I can think of that I can't kill is 'devils ivy' you might want to try that.

I"m right there with you. Animals...I can bring back from the brink of death. Plants have a month long lifespan in my house. Tops.

    I have a black thumb

I managed to kill a 26-year-old bonsai--a housewarming gift--in ONE night. I stupidly left it near a radiator over night. Felt guilty about this for a long time, until I replaced it with a bonsai that I bought. Yup, that one died within a month.

Did it come from my house because it might have already been dead already?
you live like an ivy vine
you can only survive by clinging onto trees
    that's your flaw
put down some roots so you can stand on your own

Oh man I am terrible with keeping plants and flowers alive. Im glad I am not the only woman out there like this!
My boyfriend won't even buy me flowers anymore because I kill them too fast.

Oh well, there's always tacky fake shit.

^^ Bamboo or lucky bamboo, not the same thing.

Ok so you want to grow stuff in your home? I recommend hearbs, basil, parsley, oregano. They are cheap and tough. When you can make them live upgrade to Rosemary... then maybe after a while move on to plants/flowers.

Always buy stuff that is low maintenance. My parents like gardening, so they always buy stuff you have to tend.... me I like pretty but don't have that much time. So I go for roses, herbs, succulents, etc

Always grow what you like!! If you do not like, or love it, don't have it. Work becomes pleasure when you enjoy doing it. Hell I still miss my Roses in Melbourne. At least my new blue Roses are a better variety. Wish I could find some succulents here.
One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
    To the valley below....

Slowly moseying my way to the exit.
