So I am curious about stage tipping policy in other clubs. the policy (I thought) was $1 per person per song if you sit at the rack. I do a good show and on a busy night my rack usually fills up by the end of the set. Last Night 3 well dressed men came in (Gucci Hat, expensive suits, Rolex and Omega watches, ect) and sat down at my rack. They had fresh beers, which means they were just at the bar and so should have plenty of ones. They each put up a dime, a nickel, and a penny for me, for each song. At the end of the first song, I told them the tipping policy. At the end of the set, I scooped up the change and dropped it into one of the guys laps and told all 3 of them
"This isn't enough. If you sit here its one dollar per person per song."
so then one guy hands me $1, tells me to show my pussy to them. So I tore it in half and told them not enough.
Well, they complained that I had thrown their money back at them and I got a talking to by the manager. I think I was well within my rights since I think they were trying to insult me, especially with the change, and especially coming from a group of guys so well dressed, and I'm kind of pissed that the management isn't backing me up.
I had a customer from atlanta tell me that in some states if you don't tip that they run you out of the club. What clubs out there run cheapskates out of the club?
