OMG, Salvadorian food is amazing too. It's similar to Mexican. I love the way they make enchiladas. To die for.

i wonder what the calorie content is for guac.. i was always curious.... mabye i don't wanna know... haha
^^^ You don't want to know.
Now how many of you clicked on the link anyway?
awww shit..... thats a shit load of fat...
Unsurprisingly, really. Considering they're fruit, avocados are extremely high in fat.
Jeeez--that IS higher than I thought, and under the Didn't Really Want 2 Know category 4 sho....wow, I bought an avocado. Hopefully I will do something with it. This thread is getting me excited to make guac, but I don't feel like going out 2 get the rest of the greedients.
Well, in all fairness (and my ability to justify anything) that info is for a whole CUP of guacamole, and I never eat that much (I'd be sick for days).
I believe you Dottie and you have my support
Aiight good--seriously, I thought something was off.

The fat in avacadoes is monounsaturated, the kind that reduces cholesterol. However, high fat does equal high calories, but compared to butter or mayo, smashing up some avacado to spread on a sandwich isn't bad.
2 teaspoon serving: Avacado (approx 1/6)...5 grams of fat 55 calories
Butter or Mayo............22 grams of fat and 200 calories
Avacadoes are my favorite burger topping.

I thought avacado had the healthy fat?

I'm skinny as hell, so I can have the calories. LOL.
