Ok, guys. Five years ago (at the ripe old age of 19) I got 300cc saline implants. The first month or so after surgery I was MISERABLE, but once the pain/boredom/swelling passed I grew to appreciate my nice full C's.
Well, since then I have been in a major car accident + I am highly active, so the implants have sustained a lot of trauma. Statistically, its only a matter of time before one of the implants ruptures and I have to get them replaced-spur of the moment. (Of course, this will happen to me at the most convenient time, too. Like when I'm on vacation or right in the middle of the busy season.)
So, I have decided that I would like to replace my implants at the end of November. (Probably silicone cohesive gels/ crease incision? 6-650ccs???) I am still working out how I'm going to afford the surgery and bills during all that time off of work, but in a long run I think it will be well worth the cost.
My big issue is, I DREAD the recovery. When I got my first set of implants I was throwing up everything I ate for 4 days before we figured out the pain meds were making me sick. And my precious breasts were so big and swollen, and sore for over a month... It was awful.
This time I'm trying to prepare myself better for the first few weeks after surgery.
Does anybody have any suggestions to make my recovery a little less unpleasant/ ideas of things to do while I am healing?
I think the only thing that got me through my last surgery was one of my boyfriend's friends (NOT EVEN MY OWN BOYFRIEND) called me up every single day and spent 10 or 15 minutes talking to me on the phone. Even though we just chatted about work and sports, his phone call was the best part of my day every day. (Can you guess which one of the two I'm still friends with? lol!)
Anyway, bottom line:
1. Do you guys have any ideas about how to make my recovery go by quicker and easier? I'm scared and I need all the help I can get!!!
