The people working there are ok, but the management not really good, and not good treatment of the girls, indeed they lost quickly the top dancers they had from scandinavia and uk (and not only)before the crisis.... To visit a country it is always a good option, but for dancers that really want to work, i wouldn't advise it, plus it is lots of stress with the the other dancers...

I just recently began working there as a Dj and not long ago hooked up with this website. I fully agree that this is a hard working and tense job. But if you are realy intrested in making alot of money and willing to do your very best you will earn the money. I'd allso like to correct that you slightly miscalculated the taxes, as of 2006 you pay 36,72% in taxes of what you make in sallery. Yes its very high compared to other countries but keep in mind that this is a very small country and therefor things are diffrent here than in other countries (healthcare system, schools etc...). So if you make 50$ you pay 18,36$ in taxes and you end up with 50$-18,36$ = 31,64$ in your pocket at the end of the mounth. At current speaking the staff there is terrific, everybody try their best to keep things running smoothly while beign in a good mood. As for myself I just started working there and have been hooking up to online comunities like thisone to improve my work, introduce the girls to the stage in a way that the girls will get more tips and recomend VIP dances etc. If your a dancer, intrested in earning alot of money and willing to bring your A game Odal is defenitly the place for you. http://www.clubodal.is/ has some pictures to get an idea of how the place looks like.

I had to stay 5 weeks and after 2 I could not manage anymore. There are mainly Rumenians and Slovakian girls working there and they also complain about the money... which it means it's very bad!!!:'( You work everyday from 22 to 1 and friday and saturday from 21 to 6, with possibility of one day off in the week. You don't have any salary, you give about 15$ per day for accomodation. Drinks have points (as more expensive as more points you get), so for example one piccolo is 2 points, one point is about 7$ so for piccolo you should have 15$ as for dances you should get about $ 50 each... but that's before tax!!!! After you pay the Icelandic tax you have just little money left!!!!!!!!:'( I earn about 1000 euro in 10 days incl tip of the customers and of course minus my food and accomodation... it's very little money!!! The thing is that they don't give any salary to the girls so they put 15-20 girls each evening and maybe only 10 men come inside... even if all of them buy something there are still 10 girls who go home with 0!!!! I'm also disappointed about the tax... it's too much!!! One dance before tax is 50$ after tax 20!!!!! I'll try to get some tax back in my country, here in Holland we have a very low % for tax. Anyway the job is very clean, it's no touching and there is many security. There are 2 guesthouses: one big for 11 girls and I was in the small guesthouse alone. The big one is in the centre but it's too small for 11. Each room 2-3 girls and the rooms are big enough jost for your beds and suitcases, moreover the livingroom and kitchen is also very small for 11. The small house would be perfect for 2 dancers, I was alone and it was very depressing! It's outside the centre, you must take the bus to get to the centre, but for going to work they pick you up, just one small and very expensive supermarket is there. I heard the winter is a bit better but definitly I'm not going back! It's rediculous money if you count that you work everyday!!!;) Luna
