Additional Information
This club has potential, and the staff and owner are really nice, however with a few changes, the earnings potential could increase to the level of some of the other higher earnings clubs in the Upper Midwest.
The private dance area has cameras in it, and that makes the customers VERY uneasy. For 2- 7 day weeks worked here, I sold 32 dances one week and 21 the next. Other small town clubs in the South Dakota area dance sales are in the 65-120 dance range for 7 days of work. The owners need to get a microphone for the bartender to use, so we can be announced when going on stage, and CONSTANTLY anounce the private dances.
Too many custy's come in there just to hang out and drink, instead of coming in for the strip club experience, and that is a reason dancer income isn't as high as it should be.The owners here need to think like a customer. Guys want a private dance in a dimly lit area and DO NOT WANT TO BE ON CAMERA. Big city strip clubs understand this, but some of the smaller clubs just don't get it. More than a handful of customers complained to me about the cameras.
I am not advocating extras, which is the first thing these small owners want to accuse a dancer of who mentions making the dance area more private. If the guys don't like the dances, or feel uncomfortable, they will go to another club, right? Many guys are married or are worried about their faces being identified on tape should the cameras get in the wrong hands. ONE WAY CONTACT is the norm in this area. If guys aren't getting it, and are on camera to boot, they WON'T buy dances.
Dances need to drop in price to $20 instead of $25. $5 still can go to the club. $20 is the going rate in the area. Work on getting the customers used to buying dances like the other clubs do. In the higher volume dance selling clubs in the area, older regulars may buy 5-8 dances at one time. They don't do that here. That hurts the club's money and the dancer's, and if the club fixes this problem, money will increase for the club and dancers, and they will have more dancers willing to book.
Again, nice staff here, low tip outs. A weeks earnings including base pay is in the $1000-$1400 range. It should increase by $400-$500 a week or more, which is more in line with the other small town clubs in the area, IF they get that damned camera out of the dance area, and announce the dances constantly. This club needs to attract more older regulars who spend $100+ on dances like the other regional clubs do. Fix the dance area, and this club could then be much more profitable for the owners and the dancers.
