Additional Information
Just writing a review to let prospective dancers know that although you can make excellent money short term (I made $2000 the first week), your money will dwindle down to nothing, because the current manager, Paulie genuinely thinks the girls should be paying more than they make in a shift. He is also very short tempered and complains with passion over the most irrelevant things, mostly about rumors. Also, this club has cameras, obviously, but what's creepy is they have hd microphones all over the place, and what's degrading about the use of these microphones is that if management wants to address an issue with a girl they tell her that they have microphones now, but they don't actually check the microphones. Literally I had an issue I wanted to bring to management, and their response was, I'll just say I heard it on the cameras. This makes for a very hostile work environment. Working here, I made $2000 the first week, $1100 the 2nd week, $800 the 3rd week, $600 the 4th week, and $150 the 5th week. This is because of the hostility of managers (mostly Paulie), and forcing a girl to work shifts that she cannot work ("we absolutely need you" is the response to I absolutely cannot come in this day, I have a prior commitment I really don't want to break). Girls here are not pretty, and the girls who were stunning at one point look washed out, because they are overworked. I worked at this club when it was called Hots for a year, and the reason I stayed was because the manager of the girls at the time did an amazing job. Vegas Strip is absolutely nothing like that. Vegas Strip is not fun, and it is definitely not professional. Paulie goes about addressing serious issues in the most degrading and unprofessional ways, he does not use discretion, and he does not care about the girls, and he definitely does not care about the girls money. Something you should know about Paulie is he used to be a customer for years, he was one of the few who always got into the club for free, and he never even spent a dollar on girls. If he got dollar dances, somebody else was paying for them. So when a girl comes to Paulie about not making money, his response is that you should expect to lose more money than you make in a shift, because of the kind of customer he was. I'm writing this review to warn you not to work at this club. After being told over and over that making negative money on a shift happens all the time and should be expected, going back to some of the finest clubs anywhere has been a struggle, because of the animosity directed toward me whenever I had to talk to Paulie. Paulie is the manager of the girls, but he is useless. Ricky was not a very good manager, but he was infinitely better than Paulie. Infinitely. Ricky genuinely cared about the girls making money, and if you had a bad week, he would try to give you a schedule that would maximize your earnings. If you complain to Paulie about not making money, he will instead give you the worst possible schedule ever, to drive you to quit. Paulie is a pathetic loser, and the way he acts is to cover his own ass. Paulie does not care about anybody except himself, which is evident in his behavior. I literally have nightmares about him, where if I have to ask him a question in my dream, his response is "You don't respect me, so I will not help you". I've had this dream more than once. There's nothing more degrading in this world, than a dancer manager, who refuses to even talk to the girls. How can you manage girls, without being able to hold a civil conversation with them? If you are a manager, and you hear some bullshit rumors, isn't it your job to laugh it off, and just do your job, rather than use the hours on the clock telling the girls about how you deserve respect, which is why you won't respect them. Every single girl working at this club looks so burnout and unhappy, it makes me sick. It's a beautiful club, Stephen did a good job building it, but honestly, maybe he should sell it to somebody who can hire reliable (or even average) employees. Pretty much any other club in the state (other than Harley's, that's where the ugly girls go) would be a better option than Vegas Strip at this point in time. Also, how much you owe the DJ doesn't cap out at $25 anymore. I don't like working for clubs with variable cost structures. There was a night (that first week) when I did 34 dances, and owed the DJ $78, but I gave him $100. The DJ had to split the $100 between 3 people, so really he only got $33, so he really didn't appreciate it. But what really got me about that was that the stupid girls who didn't do their job only had to pay the DJ $2 that night. I feel like all the girls at a club should have to pay the DJ at least $20 or something. And it shouldn't be split 3 ways. Yeah, DJs don't make money here. $400 a week is pretty standard. I know DJs who make $900 in a night. Also, because of this weird system where they count all your dances (why don't you just count how many guys a girl goes back with?), once girls find out you're making money, they will do what they can to prevent you from making money. Horrible club to work at right now. This could change, but right now, it is not fun, it is not professional, and I really didn't feel safe at Vegas Strip either.
