Additional Information
This is one of the few clubs in Portland where customers expect you to try to sell dances, mainly because there actually is some contact allowed here. Mind you, a "couch dance" here consists of you, wearing a pants outfit or full-length dress, kneeling next to you customer on a couch with a pillow placed between his side and your legs, while you are allowed to touch him above the waist only, and not with your boobs. But this is really spectacular mileage in Portland terms--they also offer the normal Portland table dance (no contact whatsoever, fully nude) and guess what? 75% of the dances sold are of the couch variety.
While you have to wear pants or a long dress while doing couch dances, you can wear short dresses, two-pieces, lingerie or whatever you like on stage or the floor.
Management and girls are very nice and friendly for the most part; they are used to travelers because a lot of girls come down from Washington (Seattle, Tacoma) to work here. I find them all to be pretty easy to work with. You are required to make a schedule, but I don't think they enforce a minimum number of days and you're not punished for calling off (I assume unless you're a problem).
Shifts run 11-6, 5-12, 6-2:30, and 8-2:30. There is a minimum $10 tip to the DJ, but keep in mind that he tips $3 back to the house (yak), so he gets $7 of that. Also $10 minimum to the bouncers. There is no house fee for the day shift if you are on time. Night shift house fee is $20, it might be $25 for the latest shift though I'm not positive. House fees are free on Sunday for both day and night shifts. I think it's freaking cheap; even if you double the minimum tipout, you still get out of there having handed over at most $60. Many dancers in Portland think it's high. But, of course, you earn more here as well because I think it's one of the few places customers more often than not buy multiple dances.
There are three stages; you will only do one at a time, never 1-2-3. DJs will let you pick your own music *within reason.* Not really as punk rock with the music as much of the rest of PDX.
Minor dancers must stay in the dressing room when not on stage or doing dances, though if the side stage by the DJ booth is not in use they may dance on it to try to sell dances.
While it's not a hard hustle club here, guys here are used to being asked for dances, unlike some of the other clubs in town where a dance hustle is forbidden or non-existent. I like this club and am happy to have found it and also shocked that it hasn't been reviewed before. Unless there are other Dolphin II girls on SW who just want to keep it very secret. ;)
