The Dolphin II is my first or "home club." I auditioned during the day and they hired me immediately. Louie is one of the night time DJS and if you stay on his good side he'll really take care of you. The owner Dean is a little creepy and micro-manage-y and sometimes quite moody but if you just pay your fees, stay busy he's pretty harmless. The bouncers are great and do their job very well. A bouncer tip put is recommended but if you don't make anything that night they won't hassle you. This club is very regular-centric, and I actually found a valuable regular who later followed me to another club. The regulars here are die hard loyals! So if you have a good customer here don't worry about him being "stolen" haha. I made good money here on the weekends mainly.

this club is one of the better ones in PDX. Gowns and classy jewlry are recomended. a bikini top and knee length (or longer) skirt is required for couch dances. Very strict. Sarge can be a total grouch, but in a way it's kind of nice because girls who cause drama or are dirty (which by portland standards, it is easy to be a dirty girl:) get suspended or fired pretty quickly. do not attempt to talk to him before he has had his caffeine. After he has his starbucks he is a cool guy. The other manager is Dan, who is 98% awsome, 2% grumpy. In most cases he is very fair. The owner, Dean, doesn't like tattoes, so if you have big ones dermablend or another good concealer is recomended. Of course, if you are super hot and have tattoes, it's all good. I am currently traveling, but I love it here and will definitly come back here to work when I get back to PDX.

Customers are very friendly at this club and some buy dances. There are three stages all of which are very small. However, this club is a tough hustle and it is hard to sell couch dances since most people other places in the US are used to lap dances. It is a nice club on the inside and very clean... however management is TERRIBLE. I would have continued to work there if it wasn't for the fact that I was threated to be fired every other day. :'( For example this happened to me the first week I was working there: a customer paid me twenty dollars for a dance on stage. I got off the stage to take him to the couch dance area when the next girl got on stage and he wanted to watch her dance. He told me to wait just one set and tap him on the shoulder as soon as she was done dancing to remind him of his dance. I waited for him and when she was done dancing dropped two dollars on stage for the next girl and tapped the gentleman on the shoulder. The manager ran up to me and started SCREAMING at me right there on the floor in front of everyone! To make matters worse the customer asked him not to scream at me and he started screaming at the customer! This is VERY unprofessional and BAD for business. If they continue to treat there customers and there girls like this they are going to run there business down into the ground. And to top it off he treated to fire me right then and there. >:( Quite frankly I don't care if this is the best club in town. I already feel as if I degrating myself by working at a strip club. To get no respect from management is just beyound me. Strippers should be treated like gold, and dancers who bring customers in a make the club a lot of money (which I did) even more so. The same day I quit working there I got another job at another well renouced club... and there are about 45 clubs in the area so a good dancer has many clubs to choose from. Management better change there ways or they will lose all there good girls to better run clubs, but if management changes there ways it is an ok place to work.

This is one of the few clubs in Portland where customers expect you to try to sell dances, mainly because there actually is some contact allowed here. Mind you, a "couch dance" here consists of you, wearing a pants outfit or full-length dress, kneeling next to you customer on a couch with a pillow placed between his side and your legs, while you are allowed to touch him above the waist only, and not with your boobs. But this is really spectacular mileage in Portland terms--they also offer the normal Portland table dance (no contact whatsoever, fully nude) and guess what? 75% of the dances sold are of the couch variety. While you have to wear pants or a long dress while doing couch dances, you can wear short dresses, two-pieces, lingerie or whatever you like on stage or the floor. Management and girls are very nice and friendly for the most part; they are used to travelers because a lot of girls come down from Washington (Seattle, Tacoma) to work here. I find them all to be pretty easy to work with. You are required to make a schedule, but I don't think they enforce a minimum number of days and you're not punished for calling off (I assume unless you're a problem). Shifts run 11-6, 5-12, 6-2:30, and 8-2:30. There is a minimum $10 tip to the DJ, but keep in mind that he tips $3 back to the house (yak), so he gets $7 of that. Also $10 minimum to the bouncers. There is no house fee for the day shift if you are on time. Night shift house fee is $20, it might be $25 for the latest shift though I'm not positive. House fees are free on Sunday for both day and night shifts. I think it's freaking cheap; even if you double the minimum tipout, you still get out of there having handed over at most $60. Many dancers in Portland think it's high. But, of course, you earn more here as well because I think it's one of the few places customers more often than not buy multiple dances. There are three stages; you will only do one at a time, never 1-2-3. DJs will let you pick your own music *within reason.* Not really as punk rock with the music as much of the rest of PDX. Minor dancers must stay in the dressing room when not on stage or doing dances, though if the side stage by the DJ booth is not in use they may dance on it to try to sell dances. While it's not a hard hustle club here, guys here are used to being asked for dances, unlike some of the other clubs in town where a dance hustle is forbidden or non-existent. I like this club and am happy to have found it and also shocked that it hasn't been reviewed before. Unless there are other Dolphin II girls on SW who just want to keep it very secret. ;)
