Additional Information
I mostly worked the day shift, with generally 5-15 girls, and we were like family. Dancers here are mostly nice and welcoming, and we even threw a baby shower for one of our girls. True, there is cattiness everywhere, and not all girls were nice... but there was rarely much drama here. The entire staff is also phenomenal; the bouncers, managers, waitresses and bartenders were always on point.
I miss working at Sammy's, but the money is just not what it used to be. There were extreme fluctuations: some weeks were great, but some weeks I pulled in less than I made waiting tables. Good days were becoming more few and far between. I loved the managers, but they started to hire way more dancers than needed. New girls would constantly undercut me, so work became less fun.
Night shift was not much better, as there were usually more girls than customers, except on weekends. Weekends were always busy, and stage money could be quite lucrative when the right customers came in. Of course, Sammy's became less of a family atmosphere due to the growing competition, but the dancers are pretty good about "dancer etiquette" and are less aggressive than most places.
A good day=$150-$300, A good night=$200-$500 ($200 avg. night).
On a positive note, the club's dancer rules are pretty laid-back (just make your stages and do your tip outs, no crazy fees), and dancers may leave after their last stage. If you enjoy dancing, prefer a more low-key atmosphere, and don't mind making closer to $1000 a week than $1000 a night, it's not a bad place to work.
