Additional Information
Night Moves is the only gentleman's club in Bloomington that has survived. It gets made fun of a lot by the residents, because of their lax hiring standards, but it really is not that bad of a club.

Shifts are 3pm-9pm/9pm-3am Mon-Thurs; 3pm-8pm/8pm-3am Fri-Sat; 6pm-Midnight/9pm-3am Sun.

There is a single, long stage, with 2 poles - one at each end. Depending on how many dancers are there, you may go on alone or with a companion. 2 song sets in a rotation. Must be topless by the second song. Nipple tape or nail polish on nipples is required. Customers usually come to the stage to get boobs in the face, and it's common practice to go around asking for tips from everyone else after you get off stage.

There is no VIP - just a U-shaped couch cove in the back corner for dances - not very private. Dances are $20 - bar keeps $5. Sundays are half off (dances are $10, bar keeps $2.50). Dances are generally grinding. Customers will try to touch even though it's not allowed. The bouncer is usually pretty good about keeping an eye on things. Customers can be difficult to sell to. You will honestly make just as much, if not more, in tips than dances. There are usually more dancers than customers, and there are a lot of townie regulars who just like to come in and drink, talk, play pool, and watch the tv. The other large percentage of the crowd is poor, disrespectful college students, as it is a college town. Some will tip you for talking - most will just try to waste your time or not even acknowledge you. There is a drink hustle - you get $2 for every single you get, $4 for every double. Some dancers like to sit and talk with the "club regulars" as long as they're getting drinks - but the serious hustlers tend not to sit with anyone too long. If you get a good regular, they will definitely take care of you, but they are hard to come by and even harder to keep.

The management here isn't bad. It's obvious they have their favorites, but so do the dancers, and they're usually not overtly unfair to anyone who doesn't deserve it. It's difficult to get fired from here. They bring up the same issues at every meeting, but rarely enforce anything. Tipouts are the lowest I've seen in Indiana. $4 stage fee, 5% to the bar and DJ, 2% to the waitress and doorman. Girls still complain about the money they give back, but it's really not that much.

The dancers here are pretty nice. I've gotten many comments from customers who are surprised at the level of friendliness between dancers. Even the ones who aren't terribly nice will still pretty much stay out of your way if you stay out of theirs. New girls come and go all the time, but there are some who have been there 10+ years. Dayshift is pretty dead - nights tend to pick up around 1am. Weekends can be packed but mostly with younger guys, so you have to have a very specific hustle to get money out of that crowd. Management has recently enforced a fee during the weekends - they will charge you $10 if you do not sell a combination of at least 5 dances or dancer drinks.

Hiring standards are pretty lax. Almost anyone will get hired for at least dayshift. And if you come in for dayshift, you are allowed to stay for part or all of night shift. To get hired, just come in after 9pm and talk to the bartender or DJ. They will usually tell you to come in within the next few days. They require at least 2 shifts a week; prefer 3. They push to put you on a regular schedule but aren't terribly strict about it if you have other obligations.

Overall, Night Moves is a very decent place to work. The dancers are pretty nice, the management is decent, and the tipouts are low. Bloomington is a non-smoking town, so you don't have to worry about smoke in the club. It's not a huge money-maker, but that's to be expected in a smaller town. The hardcore hustlers usually leave with around $300-400. Most can expect to make $100-200 a night steady.
