Additional Information
One of the classiest places in New England … but still missing something.
All Nude, Full Bar, Full Menu
LOCATION: Easy to get to off Route 24 at exit 18B in Brockton. Club is located adjacent to the back of Frank’s Restaurant…plenty of parking.
LAYOUT: Very spacious …you enter on the second level of the club. The Foxy Lady looks to cater to the business person and high end clients (SIDE NOTE: on a Fri or Sat night, there will still be a large sweatshirts and jeans crowd … hey it’s still Brockton.) and is richly appointed with wall to wall mahogany wood finish and furnished with cushioned lounge seats, leather sofas, several wall mounted plazma TV’s and a grand piano. The main floor features a bar, one satellite stage (the “foxy stage”) table seating, and a large concert-style main stage stage raised up with a small set of stairs which leads down to a short cat walk. Underneath the stage behind the steps is a recessed lounge area for private dances. The upper mezzanine level features the DJ booth, two additional satellite stages, a full bar and three champagne rooms (rates vary for each room). Just off the main floor over by the bar is a recessed area known as the Platinum Room. The club features a full bar, champagne list, and food menu. (Food comes from Frank’s Restaurant which is attached to the club.)
EXPERIENCE: Fairly relaxed atmosphere … generally the staff was very nice and courteous. About a dozen dancers working, all were fairly attractive ranging from 6-8. Most seemed very nice and willing to sit and have a conversation. Took advantage of the two for $30 dance special, which was decent for MA, but generally minimal contact. Back rubs are also available for $10, but did not get one.
If your still reading this review, you may be thinking that this sounds like a nice place to spend some time with some attractive ladies, and you would be correct; however, there was still something missing for me. For example, the club is so richly appointed that they chose NOT to have any poles. The “dancing” is essentially walking and posing.
In addition, during a two or three song stage set, the dancer spends the first song dancing up on the raised concert stage removed from the crowd. Too me, this seems like a waste of time, the customers feel lonley, and when she finally does come down the dancer has rush through each customer to collect tips before the end of her set. (NOTE: I later learned that on a busy night a dancer will be down on the cat walk finnishing up her set while another dancer will start hers up on stage. This makes more sense, but I guess when it's not very busy it'd not practical to rotate dancers like this. I still say they should let the dancer down off the raised stage so she can collect what she can, especially if its slow. Then maybe she can give a stage side customer some extra attention and sell a private dance for after her set.)
The other thing I noticed (which was later confirmed by several former dancers of the Lady) is that dancers are not allowed to floor dance.
Personally I’d rather spend time in a club with the feel of a local bar, where the dancers get to display their talent, but that just be my preference. I will say that the Lady is a favorite for many of my friends.
(One last note: Buyer beware on the champagne rooms. In most clubs, if you pay the exorbitant rates to take a dancer to a champagne room than the club takes the dancer off the list for having to do stage sets and other things. Not at the Foxy Lady. You might be spending $500+ to spend an hour with a the lovely dancer of your choice, but she will still be required to leave you if the club decides to run a two for $30 showcase dance special.)
