They say you can make tons of money this time of the year during track season, but you have to work nights and later on in the week to experience that...even so, you’ll be working with 20+ other dancers since they put way too many girls on the schedule. It gets really cut throat at night too, so be on your game! And look out for the bartenders here, they are the nastiest that I’ve ever worked with! Especially the older blonde one at night, she is cruel (oh and she’s also a manager, ugh!) Days here are slow as hell and not much money. You barely get any money from the private dance tokens you sell, so you have to get the customers to tip you. It’s the only way you’ll make any money. And they require that you work at least 4 shifts a week (which does include double shifts) and charge a shit ton of fees (including a house fee and a $5 fee just to smoke)...overall I’d say this place is overrated and not worth the stress!

I've been working at this club for a few months now. Started out in the day then moved to nights. Very hard to make money during the day unless you find regulars- it's very slow until around 6 or 7pm. The summers are great, but after August it dies. There are WAY too many girls working here. In the summer and after the season ends. Most nights there are more girls than customers. It's very hard to make money, they recently changed private lap dance prices so now its 2 for $30, 3 for $45, 5 for $60 and they take A LOT of your money. For example last night I sold 3 sets of 2 dances and got NO money back. After you sell at least 6 songs I think you get $10 back per 2 song. Customers expect heavy grinding and high contact. It's a lot of work for next to nothing. It's not even an option anymore to sell just one private dance at a time. You have to ask for a large tip plus the price of the dance. They make you pay a $20 house fee every week and you are expected to tip out if you can. The VIP room is $300 an hour and the dancer gets $100. It seems like they'll hire almost anyone here no matter how attractive they are and no matter how many girls already work here. They might make you work days though. Most of the girls are nice to new people. Most girls are good on the pole. Auditioning is a stage set of 2 songs. The management is nice enough, but the DJ is known to hit on all the girls. Not too bad, but annoying. Shifts are 2pm-8pm or 8pm-2am on weekdays, 8pm-4am weekends. If you're more than 10 minutes late you have to pay $25 per hour you are late (I think). This club just isn't worth it. However, the bouncers do watch the cameras and have your back. Not many extras happening here, it'd be very difficult to get away with. Pretty clean in general.

This club has the potential to be the best club in the capital district if they just had some decent managers working there and if they ever advertised. As far as I can tell it's only one manager and he's basically a puppet for whatever the owner wants. If you're a real dancer, you'll have several problems with several things. First off, they hire whatever. There's absolutely no discrimination whatsoever. Not to be a bitch, but they don't seem to care what a girl looks like as long as there is a body to be on the floor. If you are attractive and a good hustler you can bank(this is upstate ny I'm not talking thousands but still). However if you're attractive be careful of both the manager and owner. The owner will ask you for a "dance". If you decide to he tips well initially but it will be in the office upstairs and each time he'll push for just a little more. At some point he will point blank ask to fuck you for money. They always over book the shifts. Again, make yourself stand out, be on your game, you can make money. Half of the girls sit in the dressing room upstairs for most of the shift anyway. The staff used to be very attentive to the cameras and would come in and tell the guys to keep their hands off regularly (this is a no touching club). They really don't do that anymore. Unless something is really wrong, you'll never hear a peep out of any of them so stick to your rules. On the floor are basic air dances. Guys can't touch you and they can pretty much tip whatever. You're not allowed to tell them what to tip. The female bartenders will double as dancers during the day. They aren't dancers, most have never been dancers but they'll happily act like it (not that I blame them for wanting more $ but if you want to dance dance, if you want to bartend bartend JMO). There is one male bartender, he mainly works the weekend nights, he'll be an asshole to both the girls and the customers, he thinks he's funny, ignore him and you'll be fine. I do recall huge drama some months back with him and one of the dancers. Apparently they were dating or something and the break up was messy so keep it professional since you don't wanna ruin your cash flow. There is no VIP/CR. The only way to do one on one is to sell couch dances. 1 = $25, 2 = $35, 4 = $60. Again, you can't tell the guys what to tip. You can say "most tip x amount of dollars" however most guys don't wanna tip a lot until you work them for it. Back in February the state came in and told them they had to start paying the girls. This would be fine except the way they had it work was that you had to sell a certain number of dances each night to basically pay yourself, as in, if they're losing money by having to pay you, you're gone. Also, the owner will still want to charge you a house fee. $25 week nights, $30 weekend nights. They mask this by saying you should "tip" him (the owner) out. This is a nice looking club. Its kept clean, they have a decent selection at the bar, a big stage, and for the most part decent clientele. Keep your head down, don't start shit, make your money and go home and you can do alright.

I only worked at this club for a month or two, but everything listed in the other two reviews is absolutely true. Yes, the club is clean with good security, but, yes, they always overbook. There were just a few other things that I think might be of interest to those looking to dance here: 1) the owner, lou, can be kind of a prick. He solicits dances from girls, and tips well. However, those dances will be upstairs in his locked office where there is no music and no cameras. If you know the difference between dancing and dry-humping you will have a problem with this. 2) Amateur night does have the biggest cash prize in the area, but don't be surprised when the pretty girls don't win--this contest is fixed the majority of the time. Also, don't waste your time working on this night. There will be lots of customers, but in my experience they are all there to watch the main show and could care less about the house girls. It is possible to make money here, and I wouldn't be against working here again. My only advice is to seek out the horse people! :o)

I've worked here for a year, and have a generally positive opinion of it. The major problem is the massive amounts of girls that come in each night. They do write a schedule, but it's really more of a suggestion; half the girls scheduled will come in, the other half will no-show; and several other girls will come wandering in to work, which they don't discourage, because so many scheduled girls aren't there. But a lot of girls come in wicked late, like 10:30 or 11, scheduled or no; and when the shift is only from 8-2 on weekdays, and halfway through there's twice as many dancers, it sucks. The manager and the DJ's are pushovers and will very, very rarely send girls home because there are too many on. On weekends, there are usually anywhere from 15-22 girls on, but a good amount of them will just sit upstairs and smoke most of the night. The girls here vary from 3's to 10's. There are a lot of girls who have been here for years, but a lot of new ones will drift in and out. Tip out is pretty decent, anywhere from $20 on weeknights to $35 on Fridays and Saturdays. On weekends the evening shift is 8-4, and you'll maybe be on stage 2 or 3 times. Stage sets are 2 songs, though they'll shorten them to one on weekends if there are too many girls on. You cannot be topless on the bottom stage, and as of recently, you can't come onto the bottom stage covering yourself with your hands--you have to either put your top back on or, if it's long enough, hold it to your chest--no exceptions. This makes it a little complicated to collect tips.

Selling dances can be a little difficult, especially recently with the way the economy is. You have to buy a token from the bartenders and give the token to the DJ before you can take the customer in the back. If they want another dance after the first one, you have to take his money and go get another token. You CANNOT do them on credit, it's not allowed and you will get in trouble, because they do pay attention to how many songs you're in there. One dance is $25 (you get $10 back from the house) and 3 are $60 ($25 back). Tuesdays are 2-4-1 and they are very easy to sell. They'll also do 2-4-1 specials on weekends. Lap dances are low-contact--he can't touch you at all, but you can grind if you want. You're fully clothed in the lap dances, as per NY state law. Most of the guys know the deal with this, only a very few will try to give you shit. There are cameras above you, and the bouncers DO watch them, so you're pretty safe. The bartenders are cool and won't give you shit. The customers can be a little cheap, and it may seem like a lot of girls have regulars who will pay them for talking--but that's not the case. If you see girls sitting with guys at the bar for hours, not dancing, just talking, there's a 90% chance that he isn't paying her shit, because girls here do that. There's not much hustling, it's pretty laid back. You can make a good couple hundred easily on the average night.

UPDATE: It's now January 2010, and I've been dancing at this club since November 2007. As with most clubs during this economy, business is slow, especially since it's winter.

I still maintain this is the best club in the area, but there's definitely room for improvement.

The bouncers are rather lazy and bitch about their jobs a lot. They DO watch the dances on camera, and they WILL go into the private rooms to tell a customer to watch his hands. They seem to be better about this on weeknights than on weekends. As long as you maintain your integrity during dances, and don't give any extras, the bouncers will have your back.

The management raised house fee by $5, so it's now $25 for weeknights and $30 for weekends. And the DJ's and bouncers no longer get a cut of that--it all goes to the owner. They bitch about this.

There are still waaaay too many girls, and the quality has declined. The majority of the girls are NOT attractive. They've either got an okay face and bad body, or an okay body and an ugly fucking face. In some cases, they're just ugly all over. Very few of the dancers put effort into their appearance; on any given night, I think less than half of the dancers have on decent makeup or have done anything with their hair. And if they are actually primping before work, they aren't doing it right. The plus side is, if you're an 8-10, you will REALLY stand out and you can skate by on your looks to a certain extent. The big hustlers, with a few exceptions, tend to be the less attractive girls. So if you're an 8-10 and you HUSTLE, you have the ability to make a decent amount.

Pole is kind of big at this club. Most girls know pole tricks and do them. Lots don't do them well. Stick to what you know you're good at. One of our top girls does almost no pole stuff, and she's hot as all get-out.

There is drama. Some of it involves the manager and the owner, so the drama does have the ability to affect your job. Really mind what you say, and don't get involved, and you should be fine.

Money here is not great. There's certainly potential, but we're not talking a grand a night, especially not this time of year...but you can make a couple hundred easily.

There is no real VIP room...just a little VIP section that the club sells with bottle service, usually via phone. You are not part of that transaction, and no dances are included, and they very often don't tip much, so there's honestly no incentive to sell it. Oftentimes, a customer will buy VIP, then freak when girls won't come in and dance for him if he's not tipping. On the rare occasion that VIP is sold, the uglier, high-mileage chicks tend to invade VIP and stay there, willing to grind hardcore and possibly do other shit for $5 here or there. It's not worth it, unless it's YOUR customer who buys VIP, and make sure he understands the deal beforehand.

The time to work this club, which is called Double Vision, is during track season in Saratoga (August). Then it is pretty solid. Otherwise the rest of the year, I have found this club to be VERY hit or miss. When it's good, it's good. And when it's bad, well you get the idea. Topless with alcohol. Dancers are suprisingly cute for the lack of $$$ on many shifts. House fees range from $15 to $30 depending upon the day and shift that you work. Please find out the house fee from the manager so you do not get screwed by certain DJs who collect the tip out. Private lap dance fees are split, 25 for one song - 10 to the dancer, 15 to the house. Or 3 dances for 60, with 35 to the house and 25 for the dancer. So tip hustling is essential, though you are not allowed to ask for specific monetary amounts (I know, it's ridiculous, but that's Capital Region stripping for you). And be careful, watch out for the 'two for one' nights, you'll literally lap dance for next to nothing. No extras avail in the club. Tableside dances are offered to anyone sitting around the club. Customers tip what they want for a couple minutes of dance time. So someone may hand you a 10 or a 20, other times they hand you just a buck. Stage sets are two songs long. You are topless on the back stage only. This is not necessarily a stage money club, usually only on the busier shifts do you find a crowd at the stage. The last few times I have booked here, I have found the shifts to be overbooked compared to the number and type of customers. Dancers tend to sit, particularly around the bar area, taking up customers time (playing houseplant, wasting time) leaving the hustlers with no where to go. Summary - good club for beginners to feel comfortable learning to dance, hustlers would become exasperated with the lack of $$$ and the amateur atmosphere. Unless, of course, you find yourself in the Albany area in August.
